Wabi Sabi — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

My friends and I were headed to Gen BBQ which is next door when someone suggested this place so we decided to try it. Upon walking the place was extremely busy with almost every seat filled. I took a look when passing by the sushi bar and everything looked clean and was well presented. After being seated I thought the seats were uncomfortable. Normally I wouldn't mention this but since the restaurant is a bit pricey I expect comfort. Then the restaurant was extremely loud. My friends and I had to speak loudly just to hear each other. Maybe we came on a bad day but the other customers were yelling at times.

The service was quite good from start to finish. Everyone always had a smile on their face and they took our order quickly and our glasses were always full. The preparation of food at our table was fun and the chef was engaging.

In terms of the food I tried both the sushi as well as the cooked meal items served at the table. I didn't like the salad they served and the vegetables were cut way too largely. The chicken was, well chicken. Nothing special and nothing to complain about. The steak was tender and juicy. The sushi was also very good. I liked it because they didn't put any sauce on it and I don't like my sushi with sauce though they do have sauces if you want some.

Overall I think this would be a fun place to go to with some friends maybe once or twice a year. Would not come here regularly as I don't think the food is as good as what you are paying for though you are getting a show so that should...

I had a bad experience here, they’re are unorganized. We waited for about 45 minutes we were the only guests waiting. They said to wait for a call then I saw a table become available and walked in then I noticed a gentlemen sit a couple that had just arrived. When I let them know I had been waiting for a while the lady at the front has the audacity to say with an attitude that she’s the only one sitting people when I clearly had just witnessed someone else and I told her yet she still denied it. Then the gentlemen heard me and came to apologize saying he did not check the list contradicting what the lady in the front said. Then to top it off the server acted like she was the boss lady and got involved and came at me with an attitude saying they had limited seating and that I need to be patient and wait. I don’t think she had realized they were the ones that messed up, overall my first impression here was horrible mainly because of the attitude they had with the exception of the gentlemen whom owned up to his mistake and apologized. The girls tho specially the server was a Bi with attitude putting her nose in where it didn’t belong. If I hadn’t invested so much time waiting I would have definitely gone somewhere else but it was date night and didn’t want to ruin it...

-Edit cause I wanna say: Mtw Dew has the funniest name tag and every time I think of a place with food service, friendly and welcoming demeanor, I always think of Mtn Dew at the sushi bar. If you see him give him a wonderful hello and a tip. If you HAVEN'T been graced by the presence of Mtn Dew you are missing out. Will easily be coming back and hopefully to see him again

Terrific sound, atmosphere, personality. This establishment is almost like a small City. It has such a life to it that you can't help but be relieved from your day and simply relax.

The portions and prices are strangely... Fair! I've been to a good handful of sushi places and either the price is cheap but it matches the product or you're going to spend 30 bucks just for 2 rolls.

Here you have a price for fantastic flavor, mouth filling bites, and ending around spending what you can fit for yourself without breaking the bank.
