It was the worst experience that my husband and I have gone through. We came to do a returned of an item that was purchased at the Sierra Lakes store. We came in through the gardening area. Once it was my husband turned the employee name Sheteinah asked my husband what door he came from because she saw him come through the gardening door and not the main one. He then replied to her if it matter what door and her response was yes because it's a store policy. My husband said we're is it noted as a store policy for a returned. She responded "I don't know but it's a store policy, and I need to verified that you purchase this item". My husband said can, I speak to your manager. Once the store manager by the name of Elvis Sanchez comes, basically he was looking at my husband not understanding he's questions for wanting to know were it states that it is a store policy to come to the main door for a returned. He said there is no stores policy for that she is doing her job by asking questions. I told the store manager well he has a receipt on his hand who cares what door he came from, plus you have securities watching the cameras I'm sure if they saw something suspicious or saw that we got the product from the store without paying for it they would of approach us if that was the case. So basically she is playing security and making assumptions that we stole the product. She should of called security on the side asked to check cameras if she had doubts and verified if we came in with the product or not. But no she accused my husband without verifying the info. The manager was going in circles not giving us a response to our questions and still saying that he is there cause he does not want a confrontation with the employee. No he is there cause he was requested from my husbandto give us answers too our questions and acknowledge her bad customer service. At the end we told him we felt discriminated and accused of stealing. My husband told Elvis the manager that he was putting a complaint and speak to a lawyer for discrimination and accusing him of stamping without proof on video, and Elvis response being sarcastic and not caring said, "well if you want you can sue me as well". That was our nasty experience...
Read moreIt was my first time at this location and it was not a pleasant one. I could not locate help to load pavers on to my cart. My 10 yr old and I loaded 25 heavy pavers, then proceeded to the register. There was one person infront of me paying. While waiting in line I noticed a water cooler near the exit so I walked over, there were no cups available, so I dispensed a small amount of water on to my hand, walked towards the register while rubbing my hands together, (which were dusty from the pavers) it was my turn to pay next. The cashier (a lady named Handee) counted the pavers. I then asked if she could please apply my military discount, she said ok, but then she proceeded to tell me that the water cooler was for employees and that the camara near the register above the cooler was there to monitor the water cooler, and to make sure the water suply was not contaminated, and if used by customers the employees would get in trouble. I told her it was not labled at all as "employee water", and I didn't understand how me dispensing water from a water cooler would contaminate their water supply. She then proceded to tell me next time please ask for a cup. I said ok, not understanding why she was so protective over this water cooler. First she told me it was for employees and then told me to ask for a cup next time. I felt confused, embarrassed, and upset, being yelled at in front of other customers in line behind me. To top it all off, once I got home I looked at my receipt and realized she had not even applied my discount. I don't think I will go back to this store and if I do it will only be to speak with the manager about this incident which in my opinion could have been handled...
Read moreIf I could give Home Depot -5 stars, I would. I hope my story can save you from the terrible purchase mistake I made with Home Depot (though purchased from Rancho Cucamonga, HD has the same rules for ALL online purchases).
On Sept. 4, 2022, I purchased the 56” x 22” Heavy Duty Rolling tool chest for $1506.35 (order number W894825548). It arrived in about a week with the lower 400 lb cabinet on a pallet, and the upper 280 lb chest in a cardboard box with foam around it. With 3 adults lending a hand, we removed the lower chest from its pallet, carefully tilted it back on pads and installed 6 large castors before turning it upright.
Upon opening the upper chest and removing it from it’s box, we found irreparable damage to the frame. 2 phones calls to Home Depot and an hour and a half to be told 1) The entire set must be picked up by freight and returned to HUSKY, as HD does not sell this item from stores. 2) I must completely disassemble and wrap both halves as they were when delivered (removing the wheels!). Freight will notify me in the next 5 days of a pickup time. 3) HD will then refund my order 3-5 days AFTER freight picks it up!!!
No other options, period. HD even had the gall to ask me if I would like to order and pay for the replacement while I was on the phone! I suggest you don’t buy ANY Home Depot items online at all. I will be taking all of my future business to their competitors in my area. (By the way…..HD doesn’t actually care, and they’ll tell you as much...
