Denny's — Restaurant in Rancho Palos Verdes

JUST LIKE DENNYS SHOULD ALWAYS BE.... I LOVED IT!

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.

I went to this Denny's restaurant on a Sunday morning November the 21st, 2021, and it was my first time here.

FOOD: I ordered the SLATED CARAMEL & BANANA CREAM BREAKFAST. Everything was really good, Denny's standards. everything had a great flavor, and I loved the pancakes, fluffy, soft, and the topping was over the top!!! you could literally taste the eggs, the butter, the cream, fresh ingredients. They made me wait a little bit, but it was absolutely worth it. The bowl of fruit was good, good selection of fresh fruit. and you could tell it was fresh. Coffee was good, strong intense aroma and freshly made, just like I love it.

STAFF: my server was super nice... he went above and beyond by bringing me actual whole milk for my coffee and by being honest about the "not fresh" orange juice (that I decided not to order). my server was nice, friendly, welcoming and professional. He made sure I had everything I needed and wanted and treated me as a respected customer. GREAT customer care and attention to details. And to be fair, everybody was friendly and welcoming.

CLEANLINESS: the overall cleanliness of the place was very good. and I was pleasantly surprised to see an army of employees constantly cleaning the tables and the benches. They cleaned and sanitized my table right before they let me sit. Amazing.

RESTROOMS: restrooms were nice and clean. hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. very clean.

PRICES: Denny's standard prices, nothing unusual. Cheap.

LOCATION: good location, surrounded by shops and other restaurant. close to Palos Verdes area and the major city parks. Not far from the Ocean.

PARKING: The parking lot is not that big, but the cool thing is that it goes all the way around the restaurant, pretty cool! so you will find a spot you like and if you do not, just across the street there's a ton of parking available.

CONCLUSIONS: I recommend this specific Denny's restaurant, and if you like Denny's as I do, then you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely go back when I have a...

Just went there for breakfast and got a veggie egg white omelette I added avocado and apparently getting fruit is an up charge. I didn’t know that, but I knew about the avocado. The server Vivi Was very nice but clearly overworked it took about 10 minutes to get orange juice and we got our water maybe a minute or two before our food came out. She was never rude. I could just tell that she had maybe too many tables in her section so maybe a server or two called out for the day But my real complaint is about my omelette It tasted like paint thinner. Like the smell of a paint sitter is the taste that was in my mouth I couldn’t eat it. I had to spit it out. I ate the avocado because you know it was almost 2 dollars. Lols I told the server because she came over and said oh only wanted a half portion and I said no it actually tasted like paint thinner. She did offer for me to have it remade, but I had to leave because it took much longer than we thought it would so we ended up cutting it close to our next appointment. I did not ask her to take it off the bill, but I did Think it was a little strange that she didn’t offer to take it off of the bill because I literally didn’t eat any of it. We won’t be back. Everybody was very nice though, and the place is extremely clean, which is very great, but something was so wrong with that food. I would much rather go to Polly’s. Nicer on...

I have now been to this place twice and waited almost 20 minutes to even be greeted at my table. This most recent time the waitress only took our drink order and refused to take our food order until she took another tables order. This doesn't make any sense at all.

First: when we got here We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, so why seat us if you weren't ready to serve us. Second: a quarter of the tables were open and it wasn't even that busy.

I'm starting to think that the place is poorly managed. If we weren't with some family we would have walked out

The waitress, to her benefit was very nice when she came back. It just appears that poor training and lack of urgency are the real problems at this restaurant. I always see the manager with a clipboard standing around at the register and not actively moitoring...
