Pancakes R Us — Restaurant in Rancho Palos Verdes

Just got back from this place and was glad to leave. The server Monica F was not attentive when we arrived. She seemed like she did not want to be there..I asked her about how the open house went and she did not even answer..I had to call her to take our order because she was on the other side of the restaurant sitting down putting plates and silver together.I asked for hot chocolate and when I wanted another one I could not get her attention because she was on her cell phone about 8 feet from us in front of the beverage dispenser.I waited until she got off the phone to finally get her attention. She then brought the hot chocolate but left the old mug there. When we were going to order I asked her what Chorizo was and she said she did not know then left our table and was speaking Spanish in front of us to her co -worker.I did not have good cell coverage but as soon as I got on my phone I saw it was pork.We really wanted to taste the food at this new place but felt so unwelcomed into this place we will never go back.She had a frown on her face the whole time and is not waitress material.I wish the owners good luck but as long as she is there with the attitude and not caring about customers it might...

We went in, tried something new. Definitely won't be back. Thr place was empty. Server was just too busy (bored) to pay attention. Got my kid's order wrong. It happens. My food came out on a warm plate but eggs and back were ice cold. French toast wasn't warm enough to melt the butter. Husband had a combo. His eggs were at least warm. Pancakes were terrible. He had two bites and just said they were bad. I tried a bite. I knew immediately it was a generic dry pancake mix. It just had that flavor. They were very much over cooked too. The replacement food for my kid at least came out hot. Never saw server again. Had to stop someone and ask for a drink refill. Went to go pay before we got the check. By the time we left there were two other tables seated. It wasn't too crowded for basics. All this for $56.14!! It was a lot more than I expected. I hoped it was wrong but did the math, it was correct. $3.75 for a kid cup of...

My grandfather very much enjoyed his hamburger and fries, put it just below one of our favorite hamburger joints. I ordered the French toast with a side of eggs and bacon, the eggs were OK and the bacon was fine, but the French toast was absolutely tasteless.

Even with the syrup on top, there seemed to be no sweetness or flavor at all. Even though my grandfather had a good eating experience, the French toast very much did not make mine worth of the time. Although my grandfather might go back for the enjoyable burger and fries, I probably won’t make a return visit.

I will say that the place seemed clean, the waiter was very nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfectly fine as well. As long as you don’t order the French toast, going either for the signature pancakes, or the recommended burger, you may very well find this place...
