PETCO
In publics eyes has always been a respected supply store with the public trust and Xmas stamp of approval. The local store of my district has a manager that not only has good customer service, but the life forces sold and most likely in the wild acknowledge him or know his presence! I enjoyed watching the animals react to his handling. He is a great sales person!
I purchased 01/16/23, third visit from manager, a Black Tarantula (Withheld Breed till Confirmed) $99.00. Planned to buy more common colored legged type currently on sale as advertised, but not displayed the first time visiting the store. Would not be considered the best temperament or breed for beginners.
Their is a quarantine period where pets can just die from the stress already sufferings from being sold. After this the life span of all animals is the maximined if I am the keeper. I really enjoyed having this pet on display with the size increasing considerably, shyness turning to curiosity and stand off behavior to dossal.
On March 02, 2023 this pet died in between me walking in and seeing it run to the glass (telling me hungry) and me running to Petco to get dozen Large Live Crickets. Excuse me for not going further with details, but still upset. After 15 days, I never have lost any type of pet! Research states that after quarantine any sudden death was due to some type of injury or illness already present before receiving at store level with reflection in temperament showing issue that can be corrected, but arising when animal becomes at home in it's new place.
My experience this time, besides the lost, was truly great and fulfilling. Policy regarding these types of matters is not clear or having nothing to compare. Petco is cleared from any wronging with no refund or complaint requested. Read moreI went to the Petco store in San Pedro. I needed to return the flea preventive medication for a dog. Then, I will get the prescription of flea preventive oral medicine from the veterinarian. After that, I wanted to buy a dog bed. Petco had a big sale, and the San Pedro Petco store offered more selections of products than Torrance Petco store. First, I returned the flea medication Then, I went to the Vetco clinic, which was located in the Petco store. I saw a young lady who was sitting in front of the Vetco clinic. I asked her about the prescription of flea preventive oral medication for my dog. She said that my dog needed to see a veterinarian first, and then they would charge the prescription fees for each month when you get the refill medicine. I was confused about the charges of the prescription fees for each month's. Therefore, they would charge so much money for prescription fees. I liked my dog' Veterinarian, but they overcharged for the prescription fees. I needed to find an affordable animal clinic near my home. Anyway, I came out from the clinic and I walked to the Petco store. I found a dog bed which was on a sale. Regular price was $28.99 before, and For sale, it was only $11.99, which was a great price. The dog bed was donut 🍩 shape. My dog tried the bed. He sat on the bed, and he didn't want to come out. He must have liked it a lot. It was made with soft materials, and it was a good quality dog bed. Also, I got vitamins for my dog, too. After I paid the dog bed & vitamins, we came home. Read moreA couple of weeks ago I received a text message from Mark asking me if he could substitute a doggy treat for an order they were short of that I ordered online. I was able to order something else and picked it up the following Sunday. Everyone was so kind and helpful that I called the next day and thanked them for their service. Today was totally different starting with the rude girl who didn’t seem to know about the amount of days I had to pick up my order. When I called to confirm my order, I gave her my name, but after putting me on hold for 6 minutes to find out how many days I had before the order was cancelled ( I told her 4 days) , she came back on the phone and told me I had 4 days to pick up my order or they were going to cancel it. Her tone was very rude and when I asked her to take my name to confirm that my order was still there ( my email said I had 2 days left ) she told me “ I already know your name because you told me numerous times “ as if she was annoyed with me. I have a Petco closer to me but I choose San Pedro because of my last experience. I was so nervous about losing my order after speaking with the manager who didn’t seem to empathize with my frustration that I went to the location and picked my order up this evening.
