All I can say about the Campbell st. Cafe is I've always enjoyed their food and today as a new employee some told me try their breakfast burrito , which I did and the rancheros sauce that tops it off is made right there in house...and it is to die for! This update a month later our kitchen staff has added new people recently and have seen the return of some of the cafes old hands but the new cooks the C. S. C. Hired over a month ago the staff had to get used to their new digs but seem to have a chemistry that has them starting to communicate well with each other which is always plus for the consumers.this months feature I want you to try is the caramel roll the home made topping is fantastic! A little note about hours if operation the owners having a full staff are now back to the original hours starting today 11-8-21 will now be open Monday's again! Tell your friends and come down hours 7-1 same as rest if week. 5=21=22 as of this last Monday the Campbell st. Cafe is going back to their original hours as many of you who were used to the old hours would come in and maybe they were already closed or make UT just barely. So mgt. And owners decided now was time to go back to the old hours of operation. So as you read this the hours will now be 7am=2pm which is great news for anyone really wanting to check out our lunch plates, you still be able to get our great breakfasts to pen till close! This will just give those in your group wanting lunch a be bigger window for...
Read moreWe drove by this diner almost every day for the last year and a half while it was being renovated from a casino/diner into a straight diner and we finally took the "dive" this morning for breakfast... Once you get into the dining area, you can appreciate all of the effort the (assuming) new owners put into making it like an old family diner. The menu, the ambiance, and the staff is all set to that motif. My wife and I ordered the Hangover Burrito and a BLT with fries. Food portions were more than sufficient - we took a to go box. We enjoyed the food and the attention that our host and the waiter paid to us despite it being packed on a Saturday morning. We will definitely try this again.
Some notes: The Hangover Burrito is described as "spicy". I would say it's "flavorful" as my definition of spicy was formed in Texas and Northern Mexico, but it was very tasty and well presented on the plate (see picture). The BLT also tasted great and the fries were perfectly cooked, not too crunchy and not too soft. My wife prefers the bacon a little more on the crunchy side on a BLT, but the toast was great and the lettuce and tomato were very...
Read moreVisiting from bismarck north dakota. Saw the pictures and reviews of this place and had to see for myself. The service was so fast and friendly we were in and out in 25 minutes. The food was well prepared, and cooked to order. If you are getting the breakfast burrito, I suggest you get bacon and sausage because you deserve to spoil yourself right? Slather it up with some of their hot queso cheese and you will be talking about this breakfast for years to come. The carmel roll was definitely fantastic as well. I could recommend the carmel or cinnamon roll both, as they look like the same base roll, but they either ad a rich buttery carmel sauce too or a generous portion of cream cheese on the cinnamon roll. The 2 items listed cost $25 and some change. And in this day and age you cannot get a generic breakfast for 2 from McDonald's for the same price, but I doubt that you will even remember that the next day. Will definitely be back when back...
