Normally this location of Popeyes is pretty decent. The service seems to be great and the food is always good too. For whatever reason, though, tonight was a completely different story. When my wife and I tried to order a sweet tea lemonade, the guy told me that it was going to be too sweet and I should get unsweetened tea instead. I thought this was weird so I laughed a little and said "No, that's okay, I've had this drink and I like it that way". He then proceeded to tell me that they were out of sweet tea... My man.. just lead with that next time. Why did you lie to me with the expectation that I would change my mind? We pulled up to the window and as we arrived, the lady behind the register read off our order. It was all pretty much right but she mentioned that we had a twelve piece nugget meal. We ordered an 8 count. This obviously isn't a huge deal but I didn't want to pay for the 12 count so I told her that we ordered an 8 count. This seemed utterly shocking to her and the whole staff. I'm not sure why this was so unbelievable to the Popeye's employees but it seemed like they all had simultaneously received a phone call about a dearly beloved relative passing away due to the pure astonishment that appeared to be on their faces. Anyway, after the shock factor of this was over I decided to just double check that my chicken sandwiches I ordered were plain because I wasn't feeling extremely confident in the communication of this restaurant establishment. Let me just say If the chicken nugget fiasco was a tornado the chicken sandwich fiasco was a hurricane. The lady at the window was so confused about the plain chicken sandwiches. Why this was such an issue? I could not tell you, but apparently it was the inconvenience of the century. During this strange interaction I had also made sure that they also were going to give us some blackened ranch for our chicken because, well, it's the bomb diggity. After opening our bag, though, there was none inside. At this point we had been waiting for about 20 minutes. They had moved us from the window, to a parking spot and the line had gotten longer so we didn't want to wait just for some free sauces so we decided to try and go inside but the door was locked. I assume the lobby closes down at a certain time of night so this is understandable, but its frustrating when you have been removed from the only place you can communicate with a staff member when you actually need to communicate with them. When I got home I was hoping that the taste of the food would at least be enough to redeem the incredible odd and lack luster situation. I kid you not, tonight was the worst Popeyes food I have ever had. Here's the deal, I know I'm not eating at a 5-star. I'm eating at Popeyes. BUT I am super easy to please with a chicken sandwich. Tonight it tasted like I was eating the end of a greasy, hardened mop head and with no sauce I was an extremely sad little man. Again, this Popeyes normally gives us pretty great service but it seems like there may be some new staff members that don't care as much and lack some of the requirements needed to give good customer service and make good food.
Shout out to the ripped hispanic guy! He wasn't there tonight but he always gives us a fantastic Popeye's experience and we have never had issues with the food or service when...

What kind of restaurant isn’t staffed at lunch on a weekend? They said they might open in 20 minutes and I could wait until then. So with my 3 y/o child we waited in the parking lot for 25 minutes and then went back to the drive through. They said they were still not able to open because they didn’t have any chicken. I’m not even making this up. What kind of Popeyes restaurant doesn’t have chicken before lunch on a Saturday? They then said they couldn’t do my order. IThen I asked them for my money back from the app because I’d already paid online. They said they didn’t know how to do that. The person calling herself the manager said she had no clue how to give me my money back but I could check online and see if there was something. I quote “I wish they had trained me more, that would be nice.” I asked why they didn’t turn off the online ordering when they knew they would be closed, they said they wished they knew how to do that. I asked if I should call the police since they stole my money. They then shut off the intercom and would not speak to me anymore. This was the worst experience I have had ordering online anywhere. Do not do it unless you are sure the restaurant is open and they have chicken. If I could give zero stars I sure would. I wound up having to call my credit card provider and reporting...

Ordered 5 chicken sandwiches all with extra pickles. That's all. I get up to the window to pay.... that goes ok. When I'm handed my food, I was told they were short a chicken sandwich. Did I want to sub some tenders instead as it would be 10 minutes for the sandwich. I said sure, and I was directed to pull up and someone would bring me my food. I paid at 7:02pm. By 7:20, nothing. 9 additional cars exited the drive through. Are you telling me there were no orders for chicken sandwiches in those cars??
The doors to the business are locked. So I pounded on the window. A guy sees me. Kinda points at me and laughed. Turned back around and continuedworking. Sooo I pounded on the window again. And again. Finally someone with a blue shirt comes out and asks me what I want. Ummm the food that I paid for and didn't get.
What is the point of fast food it it takes 45 minutes to get food from the time you enter the drive through, and then get the final piece of food that was ordered. By the time I got home, the 4 sandwiches that I got for my kids was so soggy. Wasn't really very good.
Oh... and EXTRA pickles means 2 pickles. Instead of the regular 2 pickles.
