From the moment you walk in and see the gold 3D accent wall and fresh lemon infused water next and the acoustic slats on the base of the bar, there is so much heart and soul into the decor and food of the restaurant. The drink presentation is creative! Each food item from appetizer to entree to dessert is gorgeous and in stone plate and bowls. Even the silverware (utensils) are modern and cute. Jackson was our server and we met Osman the executive chef. Excellent service and recommendations! Pork belly is so good and we had it as an appetizer along with the Honduran empanadas. The pollo chuco is delicious!! I'm not big into chicken, and this is unique with crispy fried dark meat chicken with fried green bananas and pickled onions on top of fresh cabbage and cheese. My husband had the aji chicken with the sauce. It was amazing! It's also dark meat chicken which I prefer! The flavors together was an infusion of awesomeness!! Even better than the food, the best part that we have to highlight is the passion fruit mousse dessert. For me, I am a huge foodie and also love visiting Hawaii, just one taste brought me back to Maui - and the lilikoi (passion fruit in Hawaiian) and that the passion fruit was originally from South America and brought to Hawaii. I learned that the owner imports many foods from Peru and South America, and the passion fruit is one of them. My husband and I would not have thought of passion fruit as the best dessert until we had it here. This is truly a hidden gem, and we found the best restaurant in South Dakota. We are from out of state visiting and wish it were closer to us as this is one of the best restaurants in the USA!!! Wonderful food and great service - highly recommend!! Also the menu is good for GF...
Read moreLOVE IT! We have been here 5+ times now and it never disappoints. The food is amazing and it is such a fun, fresh atmosphere. There is so much attention to detail in every presentation and it shows. Definitely has the WOW factor when your food arrives at the table. Also, the whole menu is pretty much Gluten Free which is great.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND : the chicken empanadas for an appetizer. (I could eat 10 they are so good) My 5 year old son also LOVES them. They taste like a perfect corn doughnut on the outside with the most incredible savory chicken filling & the aji sauce that comes with them OMG my favorite. The tostones with steak of them are also fire but filling! I had as a my meal one night and they are so tasty!
MEALS : Haven't tried them all ... but our favorites so far are the Peruvian fried rice (Arroz Chaufa) with chicken and the Churassco meal is sooo good. The food is not spicy but very rich in flavor.
Rumor has it that the Chef will continue to change the menu and adjust it with seasons which we are so excited for! We will be back often! We still have so many things on the menu we want to try!
Plus we haven't even tried the brunch yet but the photos look insanely good so we will make that a priority to get there on...
Read moreUnfortunately, my recent visit to this restaurant didn’t live up to expectations. While I was looking forward to trying something new, several aspects of the experience left much to be desired. Service was not ok. Our waitress seemed very annoyed when we asked questions. One of our water glasses had an unidentified piece of something leftover from someone else’s dinner floating in it. The food itself was underwhelming. Some dishes lacked flavor, and others arrived lukewarm at best. The presentation was fine, but taste and temperature are what really matter, and unfortunately, both missed the mark. The atmosphere also didn’t help. The decor looked cheap and tacky. And the noise level made conversation difficult. The place felt a bit chaotic rather than cozy or inviting. Prices seemed steep given the quality of the food and service. I wouldn’t mind paying more for a great meal, but in this case, it didn’t feel worth it. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. With a few improvements this place could be better—but as it stands, I will not return or recommend...
