We arrived at this Sonic location at 3:50 PM and wanted to order 13 slushies. I understand it’s a lot, but we were there in time to order and still get the happy hour discount. We waited for five minutes before someone could take our order. Then when our order was taken, one item was left off, so they had to read the order back to us so we could figure out which one they had forgotten to record. By the time the order was all correctly put in, it was 4:01 PM, so the price doubled. We asked about still getting the discount and the server said it should be fine, except it wasn’t fine, the price was double. They went ahead and gave us the 50% discount, but VERY rudely said they were never going to give us a discount again and don’t expect a discount like that ever again. After telling them that we had to wait for several minutes for our order to be taken and we were there in plenty of time and that it was actually their fault for missing one of the items that caused us to go beyond 4 o’clock; we were told, well we’re busy, you shouldn’t be rolling up here four minutes before the discount ends and still expect to get the discount. I have rarely been treated so rudely by someone who was supposed to be offering CUSTOMER SERVICE to us. We didn’t demand a discount and we weren’t aggressive. We just simply asked if we could still get the discount. If the answer was no, we simply would’ve driven away and not purchased anything. There was absolutely no reason for us to be treated so rudely. After this very poor customer service, we called and asked to speak to the manager so they could maybe do some employee training about how to speak to customers. Read moreWhen I say this is the one of the WORST Sonic places I’ve ever been, and I travel all over the country for a living, I mean it. We walked up into the covered patio that had the fans on LOW and it 95° outside. Clicked on the button and it didn’t beep, didn’t do anything. Waited 5 minutes. Continued to click the button every 5 minutes until one of the girls came outside and explained that there’s only one person on the intercom and drive thru takes priority over us. We ordered 3 foot long coneys, which I’ll admit, was good. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and chili cheese tots. When we got the cheese sticks, I swear I have never seen such old food served to a customer before. Everyone knows what a fresh mozzarella looks like. It looks cooked, and when you bite into it, the cheese stretches but comes apart quite easily. WRONG. The things looked like they had cheese made of rubber. All while it was hot as hell outside and you’d think those big over head door windows could be opened. We asked the manager if we could open them and they said yes. Come to find out they couldn’t be opened because they were SILICONED all around on the outside....

My husband and I got two hamburgers and onion rings, I ended up having to throw my Hamburger away, it was very obvious it was made the day before, the bun was so soaked from the mayo sauce it was like raw dough, the burger was hard and stuck to the bun by the horrible looking melted cheese. I couldn't even pull it apart. It was obvious it was not safe to eat. And we paid $26.29 for this mess. I tried to call the store and no one would answer the phone. We should have known better than to buy anything when the parking lot only had 2 cars in it and the drive up had no one. This was store #6654 at 502 Century Rd, Rapid City SD. We went to the other sonic on Mt Rushmore in rapid city and the same thing. Sonic needs to leave SD. The owner obviously don't care because after being treated like this they want you to do more on another web page.
