The Bestro — Restaurant in Rapid City

Food is hit or miss. The first time I came in I got the "Big Bad BLT". It was DELICIOUS. It's advertised as 8 pieces of bacon in a sandwich. And it was. Tons of bacon. Awesome sandwich. Left with a smile on my face.

The Hostess was very nice - very friendly. It was a pleasure to interact. She was both times I visited.

Had to come down out of the hills today into town for an errand, and decided to stop by for another great sandwich. Ordered a "Big Bad BLT" and a Chicken Caesar Wrap. Thought I would be stuffed and happy.

The sandwich I was given had easily one-third the bacon on it as the first one. Huge disappointment. And the wrap was stuffed.... with lettuce. Bought a coffee and gave a nice tip. $35 dollars later.... still hungry and feeling gypped.

Next time I'll just go to the grocery store and get a pound of beef, a package of bacon, and a huge salad mix for $15. Then I can feed a few friends too.

You never gyp a rough-looking, verbose redneck on bacon. Seriously. Bad business policy.

Oh well, I guess for a restaurant in an over-priced furniture store it was bound to happen at some point.

Bummer.

My money was refunded money after giving this review while I was simultaneously essentially called a liar - as if I can't tell that a sandwich that I've previously eaten at the same place was anemic on the meat.

If you measure the chicken by the pound, perhaps that would be a good policy for the bacon as well?

It seems more and more stores seem entitled to cater only to an affluent demographic who don't mind being overcharged for less. The only problem with that expectation..... 90% of the world doesn't fit...

Today, I walked in and cheerfully said hello to the person behind the counter. Perhaps he was having a bad day… but most people prefer a greeting in response to a greeting, especially in the customer service field. Kid did not greet me in any way at all, did not even look my way. He took my order, with an “I do not care at all” attitude. It was off putting for my first time coming in. I won’t be back. If general customer service is not being practiced, I’m out.

The iced black coffee was bitter and acidic. I also ordered a chai latte with caramel, but it was drenched in more caramel than would ever be necessary at any time in the history of ever, making it undrinkable. Both beverages ended up being poured out,...

Grabbed the weekly lunch special that was promoted on Facebook which was the bacon, guacamole grilled cheese sandwich with broccoli cheese soup. The soup I got was wild mushroom as the broccoli cheese soup was not an option when I ordered. The sandwich was good and hearty and the soup was decent. I thought it to be a little spendy at almost $15.00 for the soup and sandwich that was a lunch special. I got my order to go and liked the packaging my meal came in. I also liked how I was given a number and had the food brought to me when it was ready instead of having my name called out to walk up to the counter to get my order.
