Stoped in here this am before catching my bus out of town. I love the biscuits and gravy from Wendys. The cashier took our order and we sat down. I should have known something was up when our meal two small combos and a small chili took nearly 20 minutes. When we got our order I noticed the gravy was like a tablspoonful. So I asked the cashier if I could have a little more. She said she would get the manager. Whom approached the counter and said they through all the gravy out. I said "OK, if I would have known I would haven't gotten this little I would have like to know so I couldn't have ordered something else" the "manager" then turns on his sass and says "we are not making a whole new batch of gravy" and I responded " I didn't ask you to make more gravy, I said I wish I was informed to have an option to order something else" he then starts to speak to me aggressively and rudley. Even mimicking me after I asked him if he treats all concerned customer like this. I have worked fast, regular chain restaurants and fine dinging. It's not that hard to accommodate a customers needs especially if they are respectful and calm in their approach. I don't warrant his disgusting behavior, as a grown man at that! He didn't offer me a replacement nor a refund. When I asked his name hi tried to mumble it. When I asked if he had a manager above him he replied "no" when I asked if he has a corporate number he replied "no". I will definitely be calling corporate, MIKE SALWAY obviously hates his job and customer that dine there even more. My mo was just trying to buy me breakfast before I left town. He ruined our dining experience in a whole and didn't try to compensate or apologize. Poor customer service and the worse attitude I even encountered...
Read moreWe stood there at the counter for a few minutes when a couple employees came up and didn't even look at us, they talked amongst themselves asking "Who is supposed to be up front?" Then a guy named Kyle comes up and just stares at us, not a single word spoken. So I ordered my food and looked to my boyfriend for his turn. Before my bf even said anythg the guy asked if that would be all? Bf started ordering, then the guy started to walk away, we mentioned we would also like two cookie ice creams, so he comes back and says yeah we'll add them. All this ordering he never even touches the computer system to enter our food in. I give him my card, he walks to the back to enter the food in drive thru. Our food came out in less than a minute, which was concerning because it was 830 at night. The food was ice cold. All of it. Normally I dont complain, I work in service industry. The service and food tonight left nothing to be desired. The staff needs a brush up on customer service skills and on when food is supposed to be tossed and new food made in its place. If staff receives proper training, I would happily come back.
It's ironic to add to this review 4 years later. And absolutely nothing has changed. The service is still subpar, they just rush you through everything. When you order one thing they immediately ask is that all? The food was ice cold and over salted. Being 5 in the afternoon im sure the fries, burger patty and chicken patty we got just sat under the heat lamp for who knows how long. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this location again after giving it another shot. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreThey got one star because they were open. I mentioned I should have sent the 2 burgers back right out of the gate. One was there Pacific Cod. You could smell the stale grease. It was nothing like the picture they show it to be. It was over cooked and dry. My Wendy's double was over cooked, dry and tasteless. My girlfriend could not eat the food she ordered. . She had 2 bites and almost got sick. I like Wendy's...But that Wendy's in Rapid City ....never again. I kept my receipt ....as to let the manager know what kind of food they are serving to the public. After I ate most of mine. Which did not taste like good Wendy's food I was used to eating at a Wendy's....I actually mentioned and was concerned about food poisoning. Thank goodness I didn't have stomach pains after that. But my girlfriend felt nauseous the rest of the night. I know Wendy's franchise standards are far beyond what these guys were serving. If that ever happens again ....I will send the food back like I should have done. Wendy's is a real treat to us for we don't live near fast food. Instead of a treat it was a big disappointment.
