Great Wall — Restaurant in Raritan Township

I’ve been going to Great Wall for many years. I have always recommended them to anyone even outside of flemington. The last time I went i got one of my go to soups. chicken and rice soup. there are times i get it without rice for dietary restrictions. and i’m still getting charged $6 for a quart of floating chicken. that’s not all though. today, was and will be my last day there. other than the chicken rice soup. i am an avid wonton soup guy. and i also tell everyone that they make the best soup ever. usually i get 2 quarts and i remember how it’s always charged me 11.50$. i went today and paid 13.85$ for two quarts of chicken broth and 6 wontons in each container. i’m so known at this place that before i complete my order on the phone they already know it’s me the wonton soup guy. they basically remember my number by heart. they won’t see me again. 13.85$ for two wonton soup quarts. going up 2$ in the span of a month....

Another great experience. We used the online order system to do a large order for Christmas Day, about 12 persons. Everything was ready when promised, pickup took 20 seconds, and everything was hot and freshly prepared. Food was standard Ameri-Chinese fare, but as expected and delicious. Just right for a party! Everyone enjoyed very much. We have used GW for regular mid-week take-out this past year, and the order is always ready when we arrive to pickup. (Unlike many other restaurants where you still have to wait.) Since we live 20 minutes away, this timing is pretty important when you’re trying to coordinate mealtimes with a large group. I was a little weary about trying out a Chinese place that has no reviews online, and I was surprised to see that there were literally no reviews and no menus available. I'm SO glad we decided to go ahead and try takeout from Great Wall Chinese Restaurant...the food is AMAZING! The vegetables in the noodle and rice dishes are fresh and not overcooked with just a bit of crispiness...and the vegetables in the spring rolls are just the same!! I HIGHLY recommend this place...I've never actually felt compelled to write a review for a restaurant after eating there, but with Great Wall I felt that I HAD to do it. I've never actually gone to the restaurant to eat in but the takeout is SUPERB!!...
