I love Panda Express, but the one in Raymore is terrible. Terrible service and product. Went through drive through. Asked for chow mein. We were told it would be 10 minutes for chow mein to be ready. Okay, no problem. A few minutes later we get up to the window to pay. They ask us to "pull around to the front...wait 10 minutes...then get back in line in the drive-through to get our food". We park, but I have no intention of getting back in line. I go inside and let them know I will wait there. After 15 more minutes they ask to see my receipt because they forgot what we ordered. They couldn't read the printed receipt so had to ask me again. Then they grabbed the styrofoam containerI holding our entre; it had been sitting on the counter getting cold the whole time. They added the chow mein to it and gave it to me. I asked, about the fortune cookies. They were out of them...of course. $15 for cold, stale food...one plate, a side order of rice, and a side order of chow mein. Oh, and, after all that, the chow mein was not fresh. They scooped the old dregs out of the container under the heat lamps on top of the fresh stuff. That's what we received. If it was a one-off I would not say anything. But this is the third time in a row. Panda has...
Read moreThe food here is decent, especially for fast food. The customer service needs a LOT of work. They told me that one of the items I ordered would take 5 minutes for them to fill. OK, I can appreciate that they might get behind on some things. When I got to the window to pay, they happily took my money and told me to drive around and come back in 5 minutes. I asked them why, as there was no one behind me. The kid told me they HAVE to ask. I told him, ok, you asked. I'm staying put as there really truly was no one behind me. It's pointless for me to drive around the building. He told me it's because THEY get timed. I don't care if they get timed, it's not my issue if they don't have the food ready in nothing flat. He started arguing with me so I asked for my money back. He went to get (I assume) a manager. Guess what! Someone came back almost immediately with my full order after, maybe, 30 seconds.
So, it seems their famous rudeness is a management goal. Get the customer out of the way as quickly as possible so their numbers look good.
I might be back, but you can bet I sure won't drive around the building just to save...
Read moreI went through the drive-through with my four-year-old and my newborn baby and they told me five minutes for my chicken. I said no problem and then they told me to pull around and did not give any further clear instructions. I sat in front of the store with my newborn screaming in the back for 15 minutes when I thought the chicken should be out in five minutes and when I went to ask, they said, were you ever told to pull around and get back in the drive-through line, that may have happened, but since the drive-through person was half mumbling half talking to somebody else on the headset, I had no idea what the clear instruction was. So I got to listen to my newborn screaming in the backseat for 15 minutes because your drive-through person could not give clear instructions since he was taking orders at the same time. Please teach your drive-through people that are manners for talking with customers...
