There is nothing bad anyone can ever say about Chick-fil-a, I've eaten a lot of chicken in my life. Fried, grilled, questionable gas station rotisserie that tasted like "Why did i do this". But nothing—NOTHING—prepared my soul for the emotional rollercoaster I endured inside the pearly poultry gates of Chick-fil-A in Raymore Missouri. You walk in and it’s like church. Not the scary fire-and-brimstone kind—no, this is chicken church. Where the hymns are sung by drive-thru angels who say “My pleasure” with the calm of a Buddhist monk after a nap and a lemonade. You could tell them you just accidentally released a raccoon into the dining room and they’d smile and say "Would you like another drink" Now the food—sweet Sizzlin’ Savior in flip-flops—the chicken sandwich? That’s not food, that’s therapy in a bun. I took one bite and saw my childhood, my future, and a brief flash of Morgan Freeman narrating my next decision: “He knew he’d return… for the nuggets.” Those waffle fries? I swear each one holds the secrets of the universe. They're like edible yoga poses. Crunchy, golden scripture. I dipped them in Polynesian sauce and started crying. Not even sad crying. Just "I feel whole for the first time since 2019" crying. It was like hugging your grandma after she comes back from heaven just to say “You’re doing great, baby.” And let’s talk lemonade. That’s not a beverage. That’s liquid hope. If joy had a taste and came with a straw, that’s it.
I left that restaurant changed. Reborn. Enlightened. I saw a man drop his sandwich in the parking lot and a total stranger offered him theirs without hesitation. That’s not fast food, that’s fellowship. That’s golden-fried grace with a side of sweet tea and healing.
So thank you, Chick-fil-A. For feeding my body, warming my heart, and reminding me that somewhere between waffle fries and nugget trays... we just might find salvation. And I didn’t even get to talk...
Read moreYou would have better luck winning on a lotto ticket than having a good experience here. I have tried going several times on different days of week and different times to really give them a shot and get a full picture. No friendliness, no customer engagement, no urgency, slow wait times, no listening skills, cold food and usually wrong items are rang up. Some restaurants have improved 100% since their opening and taking customer feedback seriously (McAllister’s and Whataburger you are MVPs in my book!) but this Chic Fil A has only gotten much much worse. You can’t rely on a big brand name reputation to carry your sales in a town like this. You need to actually put in the effort in this community through sincere service and hard work. We know what a CFA experience is supposed to be like and this location falls dreadfully short.
My experience with this location today and probably my last. The folks taking orders just stood there and waited for cars to come to them rather than line busting. The girl who took my order kept repeating it back wrong even when I spoke slowly one item at a time. She finally repeated it right, I paid and moved forward in the slow moving line. Only two cars ahead of me but took several minutes. Get to the window and they try to hand me a medium sweet tea when I ordered a large sunjoy. The girl rolled her eyes and walked back in to correct it. She came back out, only said “here” and went back in again. When she finally handed me my food a few minutes later, she almost dropped it handing it to me saying “here you go”, already turning to go back in. No thank you’s or come back and see us. Just attitude like I’m inconveniencing her day. Looking at the receipt, the first girl still rang it up wrong even after repeating it...
Read moreSo I took the family through the drive through today on the way home from getting them from school and we ordered the usual, 2 - 12 piece chicken nugget meals for me and the kids and a chicken wrap for my wife. There was a long line but that’s normal because the place is so popular so I knew they were busy. The person taking our order was so polite and when we got our order it was packaged perfectly and piping hot as always! When we got home we realized that they had forgot to put one of the 12 piece chicken nuggets in our bag. Not a big deal, things happen and I knew they were really busy. So I called up to the restaurant hoping to be able to let them know and then swing by myself and pick it up. What I got was the beginning of the best customer service of my life! The gentleman that answered the phone was named Brock and happens to own the place. I told him what happened and the first question out of his mouth was “what is your address”? To my amazement the owner of the restaurant was going to hand deliver the missing nuggets! I have never been in a situation before where the owner of an establishment was so willing to drop everything they were doing to make sure that the customer experience was impeccable so I was a little in shock lol. Brock got to my home in 10 minuets after taking my call! Not only did he bring the chicken nuggets but a large fry and 2 cookies for my kids! I will forever be a loyal customer of this chick-fil-a because of the dedication the owner showed to making sure we were taken care of! Thank you Brock for...
