My husband and I both ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine (one with potatoes and one with a hash brown as their sides) and were going to share a Belgian waffle. Our server took the order and about 15 minutes later came out with one EBF, the waffle and a hash brown. We asked the older lady who served our meal, where the other one was, and she clearly had no idea there was a second one at all. My husband ended up eating his meal by himself rather than let it get cold, while I picked at the hash brown. 15 minutes later, my EBF showed up with another hash brown. By that time my husband had finished his meal and his half of the waffle. I ate mine. The server came back to give us the ticket and we were pleased to see that they'd left off my EBF, as they hadn't filled the order in the first place and then I had to wait even longer for it. We were impressed that the manager had decided to make it right and not charge us for it. The server took our credit card and came back a few minutes later, saying she had to add the second meal onto it and that it would be a total of over $40. $40 for a mediocre breakfast where we had to wait an unnecessary amount of time and didn't get what we ordered. Not only did they end up charging us for my meal which was very late, but they also charged us for the second hash brown which we didn't order in the first place, or eat. We ended up paying for the server's mess up and the manager did nothing to fix it. No one even apologized!! When we got there, it wasn’t busy at all, yet took several minutes of standing at the hostess desk for someone to come out of the back to even acknowledge us. When they finally did, the hostess passed seating us off to the waiter, Jose. Jose immediately got distracted by his friend that came in behind us and started having a conversation with his friend before seating us, the hostess had to redirect his attention back to us. When we finally got seated, the waiter took our drink order. His friend was seated behind us. His friend behind us got his drink before us. We needed a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat, the waiter said he’d be back. His friend actually got his food and we were still waiting for him to come back to us to even order. He never came back. Went to all the other tables but us. We finally just walked out and ended up going to the Big Biscuit in Prairie Village, KS (Nall and 95th), which is our normal location. Read moreThis was my new breakfast place. I've always had good service coming here and the food was delicious. Price was comparable. Today I went there and it was totally off. The server that seats you was not nice at all. I was not greeted properly. She seemed not to like that I did not want to sit at the bar. I was seated at a table that was not fully cleaned. I was advised that my server would be with me in a little while. It did not take my server too long to come over. Already knowing what I wanted I ordered immediately. I simply asked that my waffle not be made hard. The waffle was hard, eggs were not scrambled soft. The best thing I had was coffee. Then here comes the drama. They terminated a young adult. He was not happy about it. Let me tell you when he came back to that restaurant with a book bag I was ready to go. I could not get anyone's attention to bring me my check so that I could leave. I did not have cash on me. The manager had to handle him all the way out the door. Ridiculous.
