Bagel Station — Restaurant in Red Bank

Okay…. I have been coming here for 20 plus years! I have to say today is the day I will NOT be returning. Its one thing to hire young kids because it is hard to find help. However it is completely different to hire kids and no supervision!! I call to place my order For 1 sandwich… 30 mins… what!? I say never mind I walk in… and 1 person in front of me!!! All the girls about 4 all on cell phones talking and hanging out! I wait place my order after someone was taking before Me that walked in after me! The girl rolled her eyes at me because I said I was next…and she looked like she just rolled out of bed-Hair not even combed! The kicker which made me come on here and I write this review, my sandwich was COLD and cheese not even melted!!! Such a shame- Red bank landmark…This place is going down like the Titanic just like Elsies !!! Same owners but…. The service is definitely...

Gave it a go because we were told it was the greatest bagel place in the area, & though I haven't tried any others (except for Manhattan Bagel, which I don't think counts), this one seems to be a contender.

Not too expensive, decently friendly service that feels a little bit Manhattanesque (brusque & all-business but still kind). I ordered pork roll & cheese on a sesame bagel, & my only complaint was TOO much pork roll - which is actually probably not a complaint at all because plenty of people would probably be thrilled to chomp into all that canned meat, & all I had to do was take a couple pieces of it off. The bagel was perfect, crisp on the outside & chewy inside, just like real bagels should be, & the location is perfect, too, right across from the train station.

I don't love the atmosphere, which is a little grungy & weird, but it lends to the NYC feel....

OMG this place is the STRAIGHT BUSINESS. The bagels are BANGIN', the variety of bagels is AMAZING and when you order a salt bagel with veg cream cheese they spreed BOTH halves thick with cream cheese and they don't skimp. If there were one thing I could change about this place I wouldn't change ANYTHING except that man, I wish they opened at five because sometimes I am up early.

But there really is nowhere that opens at five AM anymore post pandemic, and I get it, it costs them more to run the joint for that hour than they would make. But holy Moses, the bagels are GREAT...they all understand customer service, the white lady with the short hair is great at customer service, just wonderful people.
