Very disappointed in the service at the KFC in Red Oak. I arrived around 8 pm to order the original chicken sandwich meal and a 24 piece hot wing. I was told after a couple of minutes that no more chicken sandwiches could made because there was no meat available to make any more sandwiches for the night. So, I continued with my order of hot wings, a large fry and 2 biscuits. I paid (in cash) and waited for about 30 minutes for my order. Once I got home and removed everything from the sack, I discovered that 6 wings were missing. So I bagged everything back up, drove back through the drive through, and explained the dilemma to the manager. The saddest part was having to request for everything to be remade fresh since there’s at LEAST a 20 minute wait on wings. Unfortunately, the wait turned into another 40 minutes and counting. It truly is sad. I’ve lived in Red Oak since 2007, but I’m forced to patronize restaurants in DeSoto, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, and Waxahachie because the customer service at Red Oak restaurants average around horrible. The evening shift assistant manager at KFC is clearly over her head and has been given a title that she doesn’t appear qualified to have. Conclusion- I requested for a refund after having to go back through the drive through window, knock on the window, get someone’s attention, and request that my cash be returned back to me since the entire staff forgot that I was waiting outside in the parking lot. The assistant manager then informed me that KFC’s system would NOT allow a cash refund so I would have to return back to the restaurant the next day to receive a refund from the GM. Read moreI really try to give places the benefit of the doubt, and won't base my decision off one experience. So the last 3 or 4 visits to this store have been consistently terrible. They cut the chicken small, don't cook them to order even when requested, the original chicken is usually barely cooked, lightly floured, and drenched in grease. The crispy was burnt this last order. A previous order, the order was wrong, and the chicken was cold/old. This lady visit, the night manager is walking around talking on a personal call, not showing respect for the work place. Called back once I got home to express the disappointment in the 2 sandwiches i had orfered to be made fresh and wasn't, was told to come to have them done right. Only later to see how terrible the actual 8 piece chicken was prepared. Waited to call the main manager the next day. In the phone with the manager to express my concern and issues, he barely cared at all, like it didn't matter or no urgency to rectify the experience, just to say I could come back and have the sandwiches remade. So I said let me take a look at the Google reviews to see that everyone is saying the same thing. So I added my review in the hope that it provokes some type of change that is desperately needed...
Read moreUsually service is pretty good, this time not so much. I ordered 6 wings with mashed potatoes/gravy and cole slaw and I was told it would take 15mins and a receipt would be in my bag. Fifteen minutes later a young lady came out with my order and I said did it come with a biscuit, she said no, I asked could I get a biscuit and she went back in to check. In the meantime I checked the order and there was no cole slaw or potatoes and gravy. She (the young lady) came back out and said her manager told her, in order for me to get a biscuit I had to go back through the drive thru to order one. I mentioned that the side items I ordered were not in the bag and I went over the order and she went back inside. A few minutes later she came back out, without my side items and asked if I ordered a pot pie, I said no and repeated my order again (all this time I was talking very calmly no yelling) she went back inside and a few minutes later she finally came out with my side items said sorry about the wait, I said thank you and left. Again normally a good experience this time not so much and the wings weren't even that big and I didnt get my receipt which would've shown my whole order, which was repeated...
