Marko's Cozy Diner — Restaurant in Redford Township

I really have two reviews to make, so I'll start with the positive one. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for about a year. The food is usually very good and prompt. I love the rice pudding! The service is always excellent! They have the nicest and friendliest servers, one of the Main reasons we continually come back. We get Michelle quite often and she's absolutely wonderful!

We stopped in tonight for a bite and these were my issues. I guess they have a new computer system and our order wasn't received by the kitchen. Our server Michelle, explained what happened and put a rush on our order. I had ordered the small portion of french toast. When our orders were dropped off by the manager on duty Tony, I had a full portion of my order. I just told him that I wanted to make sure I was only charged for the half portion. He picked up my platter, said nothing to me and walked away. Then Michelle came over with the half order and apologized. I just wanted to make sure I was charged correctly, since your kitchen seemed to be having some issues. I had no issue with Michelle.The manager Tony seemed to want to make it Michelle's fault, I didn't like that at all. I also didn't enjoy sitting in a booth with an ant trap in the window. My last suggestion is that you really need to give your walls a good cleaning. No matter what booth you sit in, the walls are dirty. With all that said, I will still come in, because I enjoy the food and adore all the ladies who work there! That's why I gave you a 4 star rating and not 3, because of all my past positive...

I've been a regular patron for over 7 years now. Literally, a place we'd bring our extended family when they come into town. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, whatever. Ordered almost weekly carry-outs during the pandemic, etc. Our last 3 visits, I've had to have our bill revised. Today, we were overcharged by roughly $5 - luckily, it was removed at the register. This was also after waiting MORE THAN twenty minutes to get drinks and our order taken. I try to be overly understanding, as we've owned businesses. We're way over gracious! When I notice a bad business practice, I'll shout it out. I'm so disappointed in this once Redford gem. Also, cash discount, you're doing it wrong! Yes, it's posted, but your advertised pricing should be including the higher 3.5% fee. It shouldn't be added at the end. Your cash paying customers should be "surprised" when they pay. Pulled from a conversation with our business lawyers: "A cash discount is when you post credit card prices and offer a discount on that price for customers who pay with cash." My total prior to my card being swiped was $32.95, after was $34.11 which reflects an additional charge. This is backwards... Unfortunately, I wasn't given my itemized receipt, as the staff seemed triggered when I called out the overcharges - one for onion and one for an...

Stopped in here for a quick Sunday breakfast, and I wasn't sure what to expect initially. To be honest, I was a bit thrown off by the drive thru they have here—which to me is a convenient and great idea but isn't often seen at non-fast food establishments.

When you first walk in, you will quickly see that the name fits this place quite well, as it is quite cozy and inviting. It's very clean, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. When I stopped in, it wasn't too busy, but started quickly filling up as the morning went on so you may end up with a short wait when you come in. There isn't a ton of space here, which to me is what makes it cozy and that is fine by me.

The food here is also quite good (I've only eaten breakfast here so I can not speak on anything else currently). It also came out rather quickly after being ordered. I don't think we waited more than ten minutes for everything. It might have even been less time, either way it was pretty prompt. I also noticed that you can in fact order adult beverages here, which is also a plus.I didn't see anything on draft, but there is a small selection of bottled beer, and a few wine options.

Overall, I think this is a great place to stop and grab a quick bite with friends or family and I plan on doing just that, a lot...
