Stepping into Los Chilangoes on Thanksgiving was like stepping into a vibrant fiesta. The air was filled with the aroma of sizzling fajitas, freshly made tortillas, and tantalizing spices. The walls were adorned with colorful papel picado banners, and the lively chatter of fellow diners created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our friendly server, greeted us with a warm smile and guided us through the extensive menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, leading us to a culinary adventure filled with flavors that danced on our taste buds.
The guacamole, made fresh to order, was a symphony of flavors, with a perfect balance of creamy avocado, zesty lime, and a hint of heat. The chips were warm and crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the smooth guacamole.
Next came the star of the show: the enchiladas. Each bite was a burst of flavor, with tender chicken enveloped in a rich and savory mole sauce. The mole was perfectly balanced, with a hint of sweetness, a touch of spice, and a depth of flavor that lingered on the palate.
For dessert, we indulged in churros, warm and crispy on the outside, with a gooey, cinnamon-sugar filling on the inside. They were paired with a decadent chocolate sauce that was rich, smooth, and simply irresistible.
As we left Los Chilangoes, our hearts were full and our bellies were content. The restaurant had transported us to the heart of Mexico, offering a taste of authentic cuisine and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be...
Read moreThis might now be the most refreshing spot in Redmond. Everything that I want to say has been said before: amazing food, good prices, super friendly staff, and a very clean dining experience. I never thought that I would mention "clean" in a review, but I saw someone else say it and thought, "yeah, this place is surprisingly clean compared to most restaurants in Redmond".... Refreshing.
Most restaurant staff (especially in greater Seattle, particularly in the last 6 years) give off the vibe of "this is a job, I'm here to give you the lowest quality service/food at the maximum price". That is not the case here. I think people will agree that the staff here seem truly passionate about food.... Refreshing.
What else? The menu is short, as it should be. The wet habanero burrito with carne asada is 🔥🔥🔥 and the al pastor tacos are packed with amazing flavor... Refreshing.
Not to mention that I didn't hear a single crypto bro talking about his third round of VC funding... Because that's not this kind of place... Refreshing.
Amigos, keep up...
Read moreI am beyond disappointed in this place. Placed an order ahead hoping to be able to pick it up on the way home from a long, exhausting day. That is exactly what didn’t happen. Got to the place and waited 45 minutes, watching multiple people get their food that showed up after me. I ordered veggie tacos and then after waiting 20 minutes they decided to tell me that they didn’t have any veggies so I had to choose chicken (haven’t eaten meat in 2 years so you can imagine the disappointment).. another 10 minutes went by and then was told that they magically had veggies now. At this point I had to order some rice n beans before I passed out due to having to wait so long for 6 mediocre tacos. Was charged for the rice n beans as well which is fine but also disappointing that I couldn’t get anything for the wait. Received my food (FINALLY) and it was just awful. If I could give a -36/100 rating, I promise...
