Owner needs to teach customer service to their bartender. This Sunday we drove here all the way from southern OC to buy beer for an upcoming party. I read reviews how amazing the beer selection was. I parked my car and grabbed my 1 & 1/2 year old in my arms and walked into the store towards the coolers not the tables mind you and was immediately rushed up to by the heavy blond female bartender with the mean face who doesnt even say hello and just says sorry, nobody under 21 allowed. I immediately asked if it was ok if I bought beer to go in which se said yes and walked away. Sounds like someone wasnt made for the service industry... I ended up buying a 6 pack for me and will head somewhere else for the beer for the party. It will be my last time coming here. If I want overweight mean bartenders I can go to a dive bar and save a the money. Look, I get that kids and babies arent allowed in a bar but maybe you should wait to see if someone kis buying beer to go first and try to learn some...

Select Beer Store If you’re ever in S. Redondo Beach, CA, you have to stop by Select Beer Store. It’s one of the best bottle shops & tap rooms that we’ve ever been in. The selection was fantastic – both from the 16 taps and the massive walls of bottles, both chilled and room temperature. The atmosphere was like the record store that John Cusack owned in the movie - High Fidelity. Wes is the owner and the John Cusack character, Jack Black’s character was one of the regular customers – Rusty and well, you just have to check it out. After a great draft triple Belgian, we had a bourbon barrel Quad from Boulevard Brewing and it was just too hard to choose what to have next, but we managed to buy 2 bottles of Firestone Stickee Monkee, a barrel aged, central coast quad. We’ll need a special occasion to open one of those! Stop in and see Wes and the gang because Select Beer...
