Jus' Poke — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

After seeing a TikTok about this place, I decided I had to try it. There was plenty of parking in their parking lot when we arrived. There was no line because we went early. The guys working there were very friendly and helpful. I tried the spicy poke and the shoyu poke. The two sides I picked were aunty’s pickled cucumbers and seaweed salad. The meal also came with rice. We decided to sit inside because it was a hot day and it is air conditioned inside. There are no tables inside but there is a long counter against the glass facing PCH. I found it entertaining to sit at the counter and watch the cars go by. Everything we tried was excellent. This place was very busy early on, but it seems like a lot of people call in their order and have their food waiting for them. There were a lot of regulars that knew the guys working. It’s always a good sign to see repeat customers at a restaurant. I can see why this place is popular. Good food and good service. We tried another poke place on top of the hill and the customer service was so bad that we refuse to go back there. The guys working at Jus Poke were super friendly and laid back. I’ve heard this place can get busy, but when we’re were there the guys had everything under control. Next time I’m in the mood for poke this will be my go-to poke place. I loved...

I always drive and see long lines. So today I decided to give it a try. They have a small free parking lot. I got lucky and found a spot. Lucky, today there wasn't a line. I wasn't sure how the ordering process was. So I asked the guy at the register. You basically choose either a regular or large box then add the items you wish to have.

They have a few poke options on the menu plus a few sides to choose from.

The guy scooping the poke into the boxes didn't seem very welcoming. Everything seemed rushed...like get your food, pay, and leave. Lol

IMO, the poke was good but not worth the hype. The portions are ok. I much prefer Ali'i... More options, better tasting, and friendlier service.

There's bar facing the street with bar stools if you wish to eat there. Most customers are doing take out.

As I was leaving, the parking lot was jam packed with cars trying to enter. It was also difficult leaving the lot as traffic on PCH is heavy and fast at times.

I have been going to this place for years. The poke is always fresh and delicious, and never disappoints. You will also never find a better spam musubi! The people who work there and manage the store just aren't the nicest...

I think this is the only place I've ever called to place an order and when an employee answered, instead of some iteration of "How may I help you?" the guy said to me "What do you want?"

That was just the one time, but in general if they answer the phone you can sense the rude vibe in the way they talk to you, like you're bothering them. They're also not truly open to feedback, and verbally attack you if you try to give it.

They're very cheap with toppings and won't even sell you extra if you want it. That's so dumb. If you want to pay for their product, they should sell it to you.

The employees don't tend to smile in store as well, and are very deadpan in attitude.
