Went last night with friends for dinner to the new location in Redondo Beach. A few weeks ago I had gone by myself and had a slice of the day to go. I'm a native New Yorker and incredibly picky about thin crust pizza. The slice I had was good however when I ordered it to go the cashier never put the order in so when I got there I had to wait for it to be ready. I came back a week ago Saturday with a friend at lunch time we ended up leaving because there were no tables and it was way too loud and she couldn't handle the noise level. Last night my friends and I sat outside We got there at 6:30. It was Thursday Night Football so there were no tables available inside. One friend ordered the deep dish Margherita pizza, which he enjoyed. My other friend and I split brussel sprouts and a custom 2- topping thin crust with mushrooms and chicken sausage. Wanted meatball but unfortunately it's not all beef, it's beef and pork. Also when my friend called ahead of time to see if there were non pork sausage or meatball options whoever answered the phone said no. She specifically asked if there was chicken or turkey sausage or meatballs. The staff should know the menu ingredients. I was looking through the menu and found chicken sausage as a topping. The pizza size is very large. More than enough for the two of us and enough to take a couple slices each for leftovers. While the crust and overall flavor was good, was very disappointed at how skimpy they were with the chicken sausage topping. Each slice had one or two small pieces on it. For the price you pay for this pizza it needs to be decently topped. There were more mushrooms but it was very disappointing. I've included a photo. Based on the cost I probably wouldn't order a pizza again. Might do a slice on occasion or try the lunch special. However I was told that you couldn't customize a slice with meat toppings, only veggies. I would be willing to come back if they were more generous with the toppings and if all beef meatballs...
Read moreI walked into The Slice & Pint for the first time, expecting just another pizza joint. What I got? Pure garlicky, spicy, crispy perfection—and a damn good time.
Let’s start with the Grand Ave pizza. This isn’t just a slice; it’s an experience. The crust? Thin, crisp, with just the right amount of chew. But the real magic is in the flavor—a garlicky, spicy masterpiece that lingers in all the right ways. Every bite had me going back for more, chasing that perfect hit of heat and savory goodness.
Balance that boldness with their arugula salad—a fresh, peppery, perfectly lemon dressed dream that makes you almost feel virtuous between bites of pizza. And let’s be real—what’s pizza without beer? Their selection of El Segundo Brewing IPAs is next level. Hoppy, crisp, and dangerously drinkable—don’t sleep on them.
And the service? Flawless. Attentive, friendly, and fast, without ever feeling rushed. They know their menu, they know their beer, and they make sure you leave happy.
This was my first visit, but it won’t be my last. Consider me a regular. If you love bold flavors, killer beer, and top-tier service, get yourself to The Slice & Pint ASAP. South Redondo...
Read moreReally sad about this one. $33 for the pizza in the picture (8 medium-sized square slices). Pretty pricey but I wasn’t too mad. Then I see the sign that there’s a mandatory 10% gratuity in order to “help compensate the servers”… the servers compensation should be baked into the overpriced $33 pizza???
It got even worse. Each pizza was about 50% toppings/sauce and 50% crust (see picture). I mean if we’re being honest this probably cost the restaurant ~$5 to throw together. The margin on the pizza is insane.
I really want to support local but I just can’t...
