Tokyo Grill — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

I haven’t been to South Bay Galleria in YEARS and decided to check out the food court for lunch on Saturday. The mall seemed kind of dead, and this was the busiest place at the food court, so I decided to give it a try.

It appears to be a mom and pop shop that’s been around since 1986, so it must be good if they are still here. I got the #11 Chicken & Beef Teriyaki, Shrimp Stick & 2 Gyoza for $15.99 so I could share it with my toddler.

The food didn’t disappoint. It was freshly cooked and wasn’t overly drenched in sauce or too oily like in other places I got at Del Amo. I chose steamed veggies instead of salad, and I liked how it was bland and not seasoned, so it was refreshing against the saltiness...

DO NOT EAT HERE! I wish I could give ZERO stars! First of all, the Asian man taking the orders is super disrespectful! I was telling the cook the correct number for my order because the Asian man said the wrong one and the Asian man had the audacity to tell me to be quiet and sushed me 3 times! Despite him doing that since I didn’t want to argue I still got my order. Food looks like it’s been cooked 4-5 before and is constantly being reheated. The ‘owner’ here is prejudice.. I watched him rush to take the order of and serve an Asian person, but he made me stand in line to wait for no apparent reason, while he just strolled back and forth slowly as if didn’t see me standing there..
