Bluefin Sushi & Teriyaki Grill — Restaurant in Redwood City

This place was fairly close by for lunch when I had to report for Jury duty. Owner was super positive and nice personality was pretty contagious, despite how terrible the weather was that day. Had their "Power Chicken" at a mild spicy level. The food came out quick, and I can tell that there was some "wok hay" in the cooking. The chicken was tender, onions were fresh, crisp, and lightly charred which takes skill. Sauce was actually mildly spicy, unlike some places where there is barely any spice when you order "mild". Generous helping of rice.

Went back after service to order a small party tray for dinner, and to get some boba next door from Teaspoon. Would go again if I was in the area and...

Food was gorse! I walked in and there was nobody in the place at lunch time. This is downtown Redwood City tons of people around just not in this place. I was told my order of teriyaki would take about 5 to 8 min. Not a problem since it would be made fresh and hot. It took maybe a minute could have been less. How can it be done so fast? The microwave! When I finally made it back to work and took a bite my suppositions were correct. Chewy and no flavor. I was so upset cause I was craving teriyaki and the first place I went to was closed for...

Definitely my new go-to lunch ! The chicken teriyaki bento is perfect, I got it with skin it was crispy and had some char. Juicy chicken, fluffy rice. The kastu don was really light with lots of veggies. The quality of the pork and veggies was good. I think when I make it at home I just use more soy sauce and dashi but that's just my personal preference
