This motel is conveniently located across the street from the Sequoia Station shopping center and Redwood City Caltrain station, on the other side of which is downtown Redwood City with many restaurants and some entertainment venues. It is an old and modest facility that is kept clean and comfortable with few amenities. There is free parking, Wi-Fi, an ice machine, and in-room refrigerators and microwaves; rooms are cleaned every other day unless the guest requests daily service. The motel is 2-story and has no elevator, so be sure to request a ground floor room, if you have problems climbing stairs. The staff are pleasant and helpful; the young man who was at the desk most days, Brasan, was eager to make sure my stay was comfortable. If you are looking for a reasonably-priced, no-frills, clean, and comfortable place to stay near the Redwood City train station and downtown area, the Redwood Creek Inn should do very well for you. I will stay here when I return to the area.

I was disappointed. We couldn't enter our room mid-stay because our key cards got deactivated twice (along with the AC at night)! Why? This was because hotel manager thought we had already left and he thought it was our last day. Despite booking in advance and receiving full payment. It honestly felt like he wanted us out from the beginning of our stay because we didn't feel welcome and appreciated to give our service. He even said "last day right?" When we activated it the second time. I would not recommend. In terms cleanliness it looked tidied up but it did not feel like fresh sheets or like it was truly clean. Bottles from earlier guests were still in the drawers. Feel free to document how you see things and how you leave them so they dont try to charge you incorrectly. They even said when we were leaving we'll see how you left the room and see if they were any damages? I would give zero stars if possible. It was that unpleasant of an experience.

The location is unbeatable–right across the street from a Whole Foods Market and a short walk to RWC Caltrain station (and a Safeway), and within walking distance to everything RWC downtown has to offer. It's really convenient. Room is standard, small but clean and; parking is close to my room so thats great. Service was ok, reception is always closed and they only opened a small window for my check-in and -out. I stayed here for two nights and visited SF and friends during and day. Would come back when I'm back in the bay.

Great place. I got a very affordable rate directly on their website despite booking only a few days before. The cleanliness and quality was well worth the price. The check in process was seamless. The area in general was pretty quiet.

There were more extras than I expected for the price: plastic drink/water cups, ice bucket, decent quality TP and tissues, well-functioning ice maker outside, well-stocked separate soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower, coffee maker with coffee and cups, etc. They didn't skimp on the towels and pillows, either. I was just by myself and had three pillows in the room along with more than enough towels for two.

The fridge worked fine, as did the AC. I didn't try out the shower, freezer, coffee marker, or TV, but everything appeared to be clean and in good working order. Along with being very clean, the room was decorated in a simple but tasteful way (lots of calming, muted blue-grays) and didn't have any smells. I appreciated the lack of heavy scents and perfumes and got plenty of restful sleep.

They were even nice to me about the fact that I forgot to get my stuff out of the room before going out to brunch the next morning, calling me so that I could come get it. Totally my mistake, but they didn't charge me and were very kind about it. I'm likely to come back to the area sometime in the future and I am very likely to go straight to their website and book. I've stayed at my fair share of 1-2 star inexpensive places in my life and this was among the best, if...
