I had a very bad experience buying popusas here. I ordered them through delivery. It was one of those days when all could think is seat, being able to eat, during a difficult day. But what was my surprise, when my order of popusas arrived it was some chilaquiles all messed up and The popusas were not possible to separate because they were completely shattered. And the people who put up the popusas to save disposable plates put up the whole group of popusas. Heated them carelessly without thinking that with the cheese, they would stick to that. We couldn't eat because of that detail. So I started thinking, maybe I should let them know so they can prevent other customers from going through the same thing. So I got ready and called the restaurant to let them know what had happened. But the surprise I got made my day miserable. A woman answered the call. She was rude and overreacted to my request. She said I shouldn't have ordered that kind of popusas because that's what usually happens when it's so hot! "I said at that moment what's..!! " this mean then it was my fault.??? Because I ordered that kind of ingredient.!! When it's on the delivery menu..!! I really felt upset that this lady, instead of expressing shame, because the food they sent me was a disaster that could not be eaten properly. She told me to order something that had to come out like that, even though they didn't take the time to put at least two popusas on a single plate and so would the others!! Damn...This woman was justifying their mistake and, in the process, emphasizing that it was our fault. When she heard me, upset about the lack of empathy as a customer of their restaurant. She then said what do you want me to do? I don't know if she's part of the owners, but instead of having a humble attitude and understanding that they had made a mistake and at least apologizing, I left scolded by her. So pls people don't go to this place...!! I don't recommend it, apart from the fact that they don't even send utensils or napkins, because they want to save everything's .!! Also, the food is very expensive, and in the end, they don't serve it well, and they make you have a very bad time like what happened to me...!! So, I don't recommend...

While expensive and requiring a minimum order of 2, the fish tacos at Karlita's are some of the best I've ever had, no exaggeration. Incredibly tender fish, wonderful blend of flavors, and a solid pile of ingredients to wrap it all up as a very satisfying nomnomnom. It's not your typical fried fish with slaw and salsa on a tortilla, which can certainly be excellent. The fish is some sort of slow cooked and melts in your mouth, and is complimented with avocado, black beans, and is utterly completed by a squeeze of lime juice. SO good.
Other tacos tried: carne asada was ok, chili verde pork was good, and the al pastor was superb.

Read moreThis place should be called Karlita's pupusas because that seems to be what people are lining up to buy. This evening they were selling so many that I saw one of the cooks unload an immense (40 lbs?) bag for making masa as they were running out.
I can only vouch for the pupusas. They are delicious, and the increasing business for them since I started going (been a half dozen times now) is a sign others like them. The staff is friendly.
I would only deduct one star for a little disorganization. Each time I go, I get asked or hear get asked among staff"¿cuántas son del muchacho?" This usually happens three or four times per visit. Maybe that makes the experience more authentic, but I think it would help them to have a simple numbering...
