Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Reedsport

EXTREMELY disappointed with the “manager” (dark hair and glasses) at this location and her severe lack of customer service skills. I purchased an ice cream cake today for a special birthday and when I asked if they could write “Josh” on it under the Happy Birthday that was already written on there the manager/cake lady told me she was “to busy.” I asked her if that was a “no then” and she peered over at me with a grumpy face and stated sarcastically “that’s a no!” I would have had no problem waiting until she was free but the way in which she addressed and disregarded me was uncalled for and completely unprofessional. I was told the seven dollar meal deal was lunch only. This was not posted anywhere and every other dairy queen I have ever been to has offered this deal at all times. Also, I ordered a medium vanilla dip cone. They gave me a twist dip cone instead of vanilla. I then asked for the correct flavor. The vanilla dip cone they then gave me instead was barely half the size of the previous cone. They then warned me the cone was a little soft. Thinking they meant the shell, I left. We live in Florence but our DQ is still under construction so we went to the Reedsport DQ for the first time. It was the best fast food experience we’ve had in years. The tables and floors were spotless, the guy who took our order was super friendly, and the food was fresh and excellent. The restaurants in Florence are almost always dirty. Probably a mix of apathy and not enough employees. But the Dairy Queen in Reedsport restored our hope that work ethic and pride in what you do is still out there. We’ll be...
