First time ever going to this establishment today and was really looking forward to it… The place was very clean and the atmosphere seemed to have a good vibe… Love the sayings on the walls and so was ready to order… Decided to get the number nine Italian sub. I love a good sub sandwich so I was super excited… I ask him for mild pepper rings to go on my Italian sub since they usually go hand-in-hand together at most establishments and he informed me that they did not carry mild pepper rings and so I thought that was odd but I told him just to go ahead and add the jalapeños instead I would be OK… Then I asked for extra vinegar and they said that would be no problem. However after that things kind of got a little wonky. When I asked for salt and pepper after I had added my herbs they said that they did not carry salt and pepper…I honestly probably looked at them kind of funny because I thought that was bogus and so I questioned them again about adding salt and pepper and they said that they did not have any in the whole establishment… Of course I scanned the tables and there were no salt and pepper shakers on the tables so I did not argue and didn’t want to make a big deal and sat down. I told my husband and he thought that they were pulling my leg and went up to the counter and ask them for salt and pepper even the ones in the little packets for to go and they again told him they do not offer any salt and pepper and he came back dumbfounded… We kind of shrugged it off and I took a bite of my sandwich and noticed all the oil pouring out everywhere and thought that they accidentally had put oil on my sandwich instead of vinegar… I was kind of embarrassed but I told my husband I was going to ask them for vinegar and not say anything about all the messy oil that was all over the table… When I asked for a little bit of vinegar to put on my sandwich because it was very bland they told me I could not have any… I looked over their shoulder and told them there were six jugs of vinegar on the shelf on the wall of one kind and another couple of jugs of another kind of vinegar could I please have some of that vinegar for my sandwich and they said that there vinegar all was a premade mix and that was all they could offered me and that they were not allowed to touch those gallon jugs of straight vinegar and I said well I’ve got no vinegar on my sandwich and they said that I had.... so apparently there was very little vinegar and mostly oil in what they had put on my sandwich… Trust me when I say there was maybe a few drops in their concoction of what they call vinegar. I was so dumbfounded and shocked I went and sat down to a very bland oily sandwich with no flavor. My poor husband kept telling me he was so sorry because he chose this place and I kept telling him it was OK I didn’t want to make a scene but I was having a hard time believing these people… Mind you there were about six employees behind the counter and they were very nice but all of them kept staring at me I guess thinking I was going to make a scene … I know that they could tell I did not believe a word they said and did act uncomfortable about telling me all of this.... so I picked up the phone and called corporate and sure enough Jimmy John’s does not offer any salt or pepper at any of their establishments nor do they allow you to have any extra vinegar no matter how much they have in their establishment other than what is mixed up by management and no they do not offer pepper rings for Italian subs. He was very nice but I cannot tell you how surprised I was. The employees did follow protocol not allowing me one drop out of those many gallons of vinegar on the wall behind the register… LOL… I inadvertently added double oil to my sandwich thinking that I was getting vinegar of which I asked for....I guess they assumed that I knew that their idea of vinegar was some kind of an oil mix. The quality of what was on my sandwich was superior but without flavor I would rather go to Subway. Definitely not worth the money. I tried to eat the whole thing...
Read moreOne specific delivery driver on 2/20/18 was rude & literally told me before he left with an attitude, "Thank you for the 30 cent tip". Now I know that wasn't much but I didn't have to give you anything at all & MONEY IS MONEY & a TIP IS A TIP! He was extremely ungrateful for what he did get from me & I promise he will NEVER EVER recieve another tip from me again. I have never written a bad review AT ALL about this place because I love Jimmy John's in Valdosta, GA but he pissed me off so much that I had to because that is not how you treat a customer just because YOU don't like how much of a tip you got like I said at the end of the day at least you got "some" money whether it be a penny, dollar, or more. Btw the other workers & manager are fantastic & actually have good customer service unlike "SOMEONE". Big thank you to the other workers & manager that I was on the phone with & that all assisted me with understanding & kindness and also giving me my "30 cent" tip back as well : )! I hope your head boss applauds you other workers & manager for being friendly & great workers excluding...
Read moreDisgusting! I went here a few weeks back and was met with terrible service. There were about 4-5 workers behind the counter, and none spoke when I went in. The cashier (male) didn’t even ask if I was ready to order, just stared as if I didn’t belong there. I went up to order, and afterwards he told me where to sit to wait. When my number was called, I walked over to the area to pick up the sandwich but didn’t see it. The workers just looked up at me and kept working. I asked the girl nearest the counter where the sandwhich was and she just pointed and continued working. I thanked them anyways and told them to have a nice day, and no response! I never went back. Not surprised at all do see this racist mess everywhere. I’ll definitly stick to subways...
