I went to Ike's for the first time yesterday. I looked at the menu online and decided to go in store to order because the online menu had sandwiches with random numbers between 1- 150 so I wanted to see a full menu. Got to the shop and there is a different menu board than online with 10 different sandwiches and pictures all over the walls about other sandwiches not on either menu. I asked the individuals working about the menu as I was confused and they told me to just order "whatever" and they were both apparently very stoned (this doesn't bother me as long as the food is good and made correctly). Despite my confusion I picked a $10-15 sandwich and ordered a side of onion rings and a drink. Let's start with the wait. The food came out in a timely manner BUT while waiting I had the opportunity to take in the sheer number of flies in the customer area. I'm talking 30-40 flies at minimum. Flies on the floor, tables, drink cooler, door handle, fountain drink dispenser. With the flies in the customer area I am now starting to get concerned about the possible state of the prep area out of customer view. I went to get a drink and the drink dispenser had so much buildup I doubt it ever gets cleaned and I very hesitantly got a drink. Based on cleanliness and flies it would not surprise me if Ike's has, does, or will make people sick. I get my order and start to leave when I notice my slightly less then $5 order of onion rings has 6 individual onion rings... Almost $1 per onion ring.... That is INSANE. I leave and get home to enjoy my few onion rings (which have no flavor and you get no dipping sauce of any kind) and sandwich. The only good part of my meal was the dutch bread. The bread was very tasty but the sandwich itself is nothing special for the $10-15 price tag. Overall my opinion is that the bread is good. But the rest is not worth the price by any means. You can get better and cheaper sandwiches and better and cheaper onion rings literally anywhere else in Reno. So if you're like me and care about cleanliness, quality of food matching the price, and care about understanding the menu, Ike's is not the place for you and you should find another sandwich shop to spend your hard earned money. I will not be returning to Ike's. On a positive note I have one less rewards account to memorize a password for because that account...
Read moreI wish I could give 4.5 stars - 5 for the food, 5 for the employees, 3 for prices. I love the fresh and tasty ingredients as well as the unique assortment of sandwich choices. There are vegan sandwiches available as well. I ordered the Dutch crunch bread the first time and have not purchased any other bread since. It's delicious! You can buy a package of Dutch crunch rolls to take home as well. The employees at this location are friendly, quick and have never made a mistake with any of my orders. I use the app and for every 10 sandwiches I get a free one so that helps with the somewhat-high prices. The sandwiches are large and filling. You also get a caramel apple sucker with each one. You won't be sorry if you...
Read moreIke’s is the best but this location will never get my business again. Daniel was not helpful or sympathetic to the error they made for $120 order. Blamed the door dasher for a forgotten sandwich I had to go pick up, and then proceeded to argue that he made a gluten free correct. When picked up there was no empathy/apology for the error and was more annoyed that I was there to pickup an order. Second visit the next day two separate orders were also made incorrectly, younger guy behind the counter had no name badge but was unprofessional when brought to his attention. Ike’s isn’t known for this service so it is very disappointing to see this location have such an unprofessional and Un...
