The Cup Cafe — Restaurant in Reno

I stopped by The Cup Cafe on my lunch break for a simple take-out order of French fries. After placing my order, I waited…and waited. When I finally asked for an update, I watched the servers huddle together and clearly hear one of them admit, “well, I didn’t put it in.” Instead of owning the mistake, they came over and casually said, “oh, they’re coming,” with zero accountability.

Still trying to give them a chance, I asked the busser if my fries had actually been put in. He went to check with the cook while I explained that my break was almost over. They looked through the tickets again, but once more I was told, “they’re coming.” Another server passed by and repeated, “just another minute,” while I could see the cook signaling that it would take even longer. By this point my break was over, and I had to cancel fries that were never even started.

All of this for French fries. No apology, no urgency, and no responsibility. Complete waste of my limited time. We were so excited to have them in the...

If I could give more stars I would have. I typically don't leave reviews but this morning I had a breakfast meeting at The Cup café which I had never been to before. Let me tell you this place is awesome!!! Friendly staff everywhere and I mean everyone… We must of had 3 to 4 different helpful servers/employees checking in on our table at any given time filling, coffee drinks, pulling plates, etc. Now to the food holy smokes I had the breakfast burrito with this amazing salsa and it was the best I’ve had in years. Greeted & Seated Quickly!! Happy friendly faces!! Swiftly served waters and coffee!!! They were busy so this review is not shy to critique!! Though no complaints whatsoever!! My eggs were cooked perfectly to order!! My companion ordered tomato basil soup which made my mouth water on appearance!! We weren’t rushed out!! I will definitely return!!

The renovation from prior business so well done made me wonder if I was at the same corner of building!!
