I don't understand why other reviews state "good service". There is no "service". You have to serve yourself. Including getting your own water, menus and place settings and even salt and pepper. I work Downtown Renton so I frequent the restaurants daily. I have heard great things about Luther's Table so I decided to take my lunch date there. I was not impressed. The soup had a layer of grease sitting on top of it. It was supposed to be creamy chicken and vegatable but it was just very bland, crummy chicken, potatoes and grease. I couldn't eat it. And my fococcia sandwhich was dry and had barely any meat on it at all. It was mostly bread. I couldn't eat that either. The one thing I did like was the bruchetta. It was delicious. The price was high. An appetizer and two lunches cost $40. Even though I did like the bruchetta, I'm sad to say that I will not be coming back to Luther's Table. It wasn't worth the money and I left hungry because I couldn't eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started coming to Luthars because my dad always told me what a great time he had listening to live bands and singers. I came in to experience it with him and i fell in love. It has the style of a cafe and the feel of a trendy bar. There is open seating and volunteers who are very nice. The employed staff at Luthars goes out of there way to make sure you feel at home.I LOVE how the outside is the inside when there is good weather. The bathrooms are nice and the dining area is clean. i LOVE the zuccini bread and tea. I am truely blessed along with other famalies to know in my heart there is a place with amazing and loving people other than myself to be by my dads side when i cannot be. HE became homeless last summer and its been a blessing and a struggle all at the same time. When i go into Luthars i see my dad is happy and content he feels the passion and the music from his friends. I LOVE luthars and i am forever...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePros: Nice cozy cafe with stage, convenient for a quick bite, decent-tasting food (although there are some that arenāt so good), and nice staff.
Cons: Overpriced, portions are too small (for me at least), waiting times can be long (though itās understandable), and you get charged two dollars more for asking to leave off the sides (doesnāt make any sense to me at all)
Overall, if youāre a person looking for a quick bite or a student at the nearby high school not willing to go too far for food, then Lutherās is definitely a place on your bucket list. This cafe hosts a full stage, a study room, and a nice, cozy atmosphere. However, if you do make the decision to come here, expect small portion sizes and overpriced food that CAN be somewhat mediocre. Havenāt tried their coffee yet, though from looking at it, they do also look pricey along with their single-slice pastries which Iām unsure are even made...
