This review is long overdue. Come for the food, stay for the drinks! I have to admit since the handful of times I have visited we have tried a little bit of everything on their menu. Some are better than others but the quality was great and I was satisfied overall. I see a lot of reviews about the price vs the quantity of the amount of food given. The portions are smaller if your comparing it to an outing at a Denny's, Outback or Applebees. We have grown so accustomed to huge portions that anything less we question the value. IMHO, the money spent here is worth it because the quality of the food is good, this is a locally owned family business, the location is ideal for people watching with the great big windows which lets in the natural light, and where else can you order Meat Pies from? Denny's shepherd's pie doesn't even come close to comparing so that doesn't even count. The restaurant is unique and quirky and is woven into the fabric of Renton. I really do hope this business continues to thrive as it has. I like that their menu is specific to their specialty. You're not going to find chicken nuggets or a plate of spaghetti, you will find meat pies and bangers and mash. I like it when businesses stick to their niche and not try to capture every demographic by having a 30 page menu (think BJ's Brewhouse). Now onto the other aspects that make this place so special : their specialty drinks are amazing. The drink menu was specifically curated by the bartender is what was told to me. I went in one afternoon and I requested an adult hot chocolate, my only specific request was to please make it creamy. Let me tell you, that was the best hot chocolate I have ever had. Now lastly, but most importantly, the service. Everytime I have stopped by I have been served by Melinda. She is an absolute sweetheart. She engages with the customers she checks back in to see if we need anything, she is knowledgeable about the menu and can provide recommendations. She's honest and efficient at her job. Good people are hard to find and she's definitely an asset to the establishment. If I could give this place more stars I would. #SupportLocal

We’ve driven bye so many times….recently tried this place during “Happy Hour” on a Weekday. Hubby had the Steak & Mushroom, full of flavor, no doubt about that! Soooo, good! Mine? The Lamb Curry. I was very disappointed. Quite bland, sad to say. But, I loved the crust! As you’ve might have read, the pies are quite small and so are the sides; mine was Pea Salad w/Mint, delicious! My husband had, Mash Potatoes with the works. After, we were still hungry. We asked again for the menu and ordered Pasty’s. He grew up eating them as his dad was an Irishman. They hit a grand salami on those! You don’t WANT & or NEED sauce or mustard for those, ever!!! —-And I LOVE my condiments but this is truly “lovely”….so, beautifully done! Oh, yeah, the drinks? AMAZING! My Crème Brûlée? Some of the very best I’ve ever enjoyed! —-Canlis, Kirsten’s, Wildflower, Anthony’s, Palmer’s….just to name a few. Service ~ friendly Very clean Price Point ~ $72.00 two people (50% off day) One beer, one cocktail, (2) entree, (1) Pasty (1) Crème brûlée ——expensive. But, that’s how it is going out to eat these days. But we will be back. 🇬🇧💂💕♥️

This was our first visit to Premier Meat Pies in Renton. We have seen a lot of good reviews, so we were excited to try it out. *Spoiler Alert: It was FANTASTIC!* Upon arrival, we were greeted by Dessa with a warm and friendly smile. Mel, our server, came to us immediately and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered the The Highland Tiger & The Black Hound. Both drinks were gorgeous, and tasty! For the pies, we ordered the Guiness Irish Stew pie and the Lamb Curry pie. Both pies were phenomenal! The flavors of each pie were on point. For dessert, we ordered the Peach Apple pie and the Chocolate Banana Bread pudding. Each dessert pie came out piping hot, and the vanilla soft serve a la mode was a lovely addition to both desserts. It was hard to chose our favorite because each of them were perfect! Mel checked in on us throughout our meal to make sure we had everything we needed and to check on our food and drinks. She was super friendly to us during our stay. Overall, we are excited they are open now. We can see this becoming a regular stop while we are in Downtown Renton.
