What a nice burger. Typical 5 Guys style. You walk in and choose either a mini or a double burger Patty. I usually get mini because it's enough. You then get whatever toppings you want at no extra charge. Cheeseburger is higher cost bit that's the only difference. It isn't too pricey and for the taste I'd definitely say reasonable. The toppings are all what you'd expect nothing too fancy. They have sauteed onions and jalapenos but mostly its the traditional toppings like tomato, lettuce, etc. With the fries, beware because the small is a lot more than you think! The fries you get though are deliciously addicting. They're cut and fried there and they have this certain flavor and crispiness that makes them taste perfect. All the food is super greasy so I wouldn't go here every day but if you want to have a treat for yourself you can find it here!
The service is hit or miss as far as friendliness; I placed an online order and when I went to pick it up the staff seemed to avoid looking at me in case I was going to ask for something. Eventually one guy jumped in asking if I had an online order and got it out for me. Online orders just aren't really this place's style anyways. You get a number on your receipt and they call it out when the food is ready. You don't get a number when you order online though.
They have the fancy soda machines here which is cool too. I don't usually get one though; stick with the mini burger with small fries and I'm good to go. Once you eat, prepare for your food coma. Literally every time I eat here I end up feeling like it's nap time for the rest of the day. So make sure you grab a coffee or other caffeine to get you over the rest of the days hump if you decide to eat here!
Overall, very solid lunch place with tasty food and fair prices, just be ready for nap time when...
Read more$75 for a family of 4 and the meat tasted like dog food. Never again. This happened to us when we visited MD not too long ago, also. The meat was just horrible. I wouldn't eat it, for the smell and my husband and son ended up getting sick from it.
So, sickness, hefty pricing, ending up with a hungry me and one of my sons the other night. You had one job, Five Guys. Burgers. One job. I don't give a rip that it was covid and so restaurants got into the habit of using older food. (You all thought we didn't notice?) This is unacceptable. And in Reston! One of the priciest towns in this area and in the country. ???
Fries weren't good either, unfortunately, which I will say usually isn't the case.
And on the online order form, please make it so we can order a bunless burger for someone with an allergy. Either that, or make it so we can see that option better. My son who is allergic to sesame had a horrible reaction bc I looked but didn't see that option when...
