I recently went here for the first time. Both, food and customer service, were good.
What I didn't like is the additional charges (hence low rating) of 3% in the name of "Service Charge" and then another 3% in the name of "Credit Card Surcharge." This was a pickup order. Why "Service Charge" then? Again, these charges are in additional to the menu prices. What's next, an "Entry Charge," or a "Sit down Charge", how about talking to the "Cashier Charge"? What is going on and wrong with these businesses? This is really getting ridiculous and out of control! What is so frustrating and disappointing for me is that there were no signs or any verbal communications about these additional charges prior to or after payment! How is this even legal when you don't advertise these charges, don't tell customers about these charges, and then just charge without customer's permission and then just hand over the receipt as if nothing has happened! Unfortunately, not many customers check their receipt and some don't even ask for the receipt let aside checking for the correct transaction amount. These businesses taking full advantage of those type of customers and just cashing in.
How hard is it for the business to be honest, transparent and clearly advertise with a sign if there will be any type of additional charge on top of the menu price? If putting a signage is a problem then how about training cashier and have them tell the customer if they will be responsible for any additional charges. Had I knew about the additional credit card charges then I would have paid with cash! When I asked for the hot sauce, I was told all sauces will be extra charge. If they are pretty good for charging extra for a little sauce then why hiding the real total price?
In my opinion, there should NOT be any additional charges, beside the applicable taxes, and all "hidden" charges should be added in the menu price or just clearly advertised it. It is expensive for EVERYONE and not just for businesses. It is really not fair for these businesses to rip off customers with their hidden sneaky tactics like this! If they can't afford to take credit cards transaction then just don't take it.
I am thinking to file a complaint against this business with applicable enforcement office(s) regarding these unauthorized charges. Businesses like these do make extra money in short amount of time, but they don't realize how quickly others have failed and...
Read moreI heard a lot of positive reviews about this newly-opened halal burger place, so I decided to check it out.
Service is awesome, and they’re very helpful and okay with customizing the burgers and food. The ambiance also feels trendy and alive, with the neon signs and decor. They also have outdoor seating. Parking right in front of the restaurant is a little tough around lunch/dinner times, but if you go a little further ahead, there’s some garage parking.
Now for the food; we got the traditional wings (buffalo, spicy honey bbq), the baba burger, the zyro burger, the Philly dream, and the cookies n cream shake.
First off, the Philly dream was really a dream! I don’t like Philly cheesesteaks much, but decided to give this one a try, and I loved it! I usually find the meat in Philly cheesesteaks a little on the blander side, but this one was not bland, not spicy, just a good amount of flavor. The bread is toasted, cheese melting, it’s delicious! This is my go-to option here now.
The Baba burger was also flavorful, with a nice touch of crunch from the fried onion in it, but personally I think I would order it the Yasser way (less bbq sauce, more chili and zinger sauce) the next time. The zyro burger was good, but I think I’m more of a chicken piece burger person. Patty chicken is not really for me. The spicy honey bbq wings had some good flavor, but the buffalo ones I felt could use a little more inside the wings. Cookies n cream shake was really tasty! It had a nice, deep chocolate with a balance of vanilla flavor. I’d get the shake again.
My personal recommendations for the menu for someone looking to come here for the first time are: the Philly dream, the baba burger (ask for it the Yasser way if you don’t like bbq sauce on burgers), and the cookies n...
Read moreOur first ever order here was online, and this was for a company lunch. We chose this place out of many options. The food was good, but they intentionally have bad customer service. We ordered all seasoned fries, and instead of notifying us they were out of them, they sent fried onion rings for everybody anyways. 2 of the people here are allergic to onions, and no one ate that portion of their order. We called to rectify this once we received the order, and the girl admitted that she knew they did the switch, and decided not to call us and explain the issue, even when she had our number (I had called to delay the preparation a little longer). When speaking with her, she said she could not refund the portion of the order, but offered 1 free meal? I paid for 5 meals, and all of them were wrong. While the burgers we enjoyed, we didn't get the rest of our meals correct. I was simply asking for a refund on this portion, and she said she will have the manager (who was not there that day) call me back. She did not tell me this, but I found out the next day that the manager still did not call me. She said he would call me in an hour or so. The day is almost over, and so they still did not call me. I called now, and they won't even answer their phone. Am I on a blocked call list now? This customer service is definitely unprofessional and not acceptable. I will be pursuing either a chargeback on my card, or I will go to the store physically and voice my opinion. If your order is wrong in any way, DO NOT expect to get compensated appropriately, especially for something they admitted to...
