Seems like a place that could have had good potential but they missed the mark during my visit. I came in at 8pm and was planning to get take out but they said it was fine for me to sit in because they close at 9 and they stop cooking at 8:30. So I placed my order quickly and thought I’d have atleast 40 -45 minutes to eat. From the time I got my food, the server and cleaning lady came past me every five minutes rushing me out of the place, while trying to kill me with kindness. I was so annoyed bc I specifically asked if I would have enough time to sit and eat. They were clearing my table bringing me the check before I even had a few sips of my margarita. I had to swallow my drink quickly, eat my meal and get to go boxes bc they were rushing me out of the building. They had turned off some of the lights and music, they had other servers rolling silverware, and it was still 30 minutes before close. The enchiladas I picked out were good, they were very sparingly with the sour cream and there were no tomatoes in sight on my plate, I had to use salsa. I also requested carne asada tacos from my server that I didn’t get to eat until I got home. When I got home I realized the tacos I ordered were nothing like traditional carne asada tacos. No fresh onions, cilantro, gauc, nothing - it was grilled steak and onions, with a spicy salsa…which is fine but they should probably let people know that. It could of been a great experience (outside of the tacos) the rest of the food wasn’t bad. I left with my food in a doggy bag and it was 8:45, unfortunately this will be...
Read moreGood food, however the chimichanga didn't seem to be deep fried, was more along the lines of the tortilla being slightly dipped in oil as you would a corn tortilla before rolling an enchilada. The service needs an upgrade. I ordered a light meal so I can try out the ice cream they had advertised on the table. Well I'm not sure why but the female server I had wasn't good at her job. That in turned prevented the restaurant from making more off me because instead of asking me if I wanted anything else she simply placed the ticket down and thanked me for coming. How many others does she do that too? I'm sure it adds up at some point, I know in my case it also made me only tip her half of what I was going to. I also let the nice hostess/cashier know why I didn't order the ice cream, but she seemed to young to know the inpact it may have had on the business bottom line at the end of the day. When I do find my way back to the area I may give them...
Read moreAmazing find in this podunk town!! Was here on business and wanted a quick bite..and a drink.. for an impromptu celebration of a coworkers acceptance in a PhD program, and this place hit the spot. The food was amazing, the drink was even better..an Apple Pie Margarita mind you. Just enough flavor and sweetness for the moment. The quaint and colorful atmosphere is a surprise as the facade of the restaurant screams MALL STRIP but honestly, those r the best places..unassuming and regular, until you open the door. We were immediately greeted and seated, and pleasantly surprised with the combo of food, drink, amd atmosphere. what more could you ask for?
