Starbucks — Restaurant in Richland Township

We were in Johnstown over Mother's Day weekend visiting family. While staying at a nearby hotel, in the past we always got our morning coffee from this Starbucks. When we walked in Saturday morning 11 May 2024, we were impressed with the remodel. The very nice lady behind the counter shared with us the store has been open for a week. What I didn't immediately notice was the new way of brewing the coffee. It's the same idea of brewing one cup at a time being all automated. In my opinion, this is a brilliant idea on paper but not in practice. I like the taste of the old-fashion drip coffee. After having the Grande one-cup coffee, I started internally shaking from having too much caffeine. (I know the sensation of having too much caffeine.) On the drip coffee, I never feel nor felt this before. Ever! I'm including a picture of the cup bottom with the residual grounds which isn't in the old-fashion drip. I finally was able to go to the johnstown/richland starbucks today. They were finally open. While standing in the line the cashier gave free cake-pops to every child in front of me. I know this because she got down to their level after completing their orders and asked which ones do they like and gave them the ones they told her. It came my turn and my children weren’t offered the cake-pops. She didn't even ask my name for the order. After I completed my order, I asked about them and she replied..”oh uhm i was just giving them out to them.” Then gave them to people after me. My kids left upset. I will NOT be returning. I would like to thank ALL the starbucks employees working at this location this morning around 11am. A situation happened with my young son and they made me feel so much better in a time of absolute crisis. I still can't help but feel guilty for the situation But I appericiate them all from the bottom of my heart, as a mother. It will probably be a hot minute until I return just out of pure embarrassment but seriously. You have some amazing people working there. I did not get the name of the woman who practically gave the shirt off her back due to the chaos, but if you see this. Thank you.
