17.00 for a sub, you must be kidding. Sadly, no, they are not, and they are mostly bread, and they taste very salty. I got coupons in the mail, buy one get one free, so I figured I would try them, never had them before.
I got the turkey sub and the roast beef sub. They slice the meat at the time you order, which is designed to impress you, but makes it very hard on the workers, and does nothing to add to the taste.
The roast beef is cooked on site, and is decent, but the other meat are not, and the turkey is not even a roasted turkey, it is that turkey loaf, that is molded into a round shape, and is loaded with salt, maybe MSG, I don't know, but so salty, it is all you taste.
When they rang me up, and I gave them the coupon, and they said 17.00, I said, with the coupon ? and they said yes.
I did not see the prices posted anywhere. Maybe they are there, but I did not see them, and if I had seen them, I would have walked out without ordering.
No sub is worth 17.00, not even if it had been the best thing I ever ate, not worth it. Not when there are 6.00 options at the 10 other sub shops along the strip. I don't see this place lasting very long, not here.
The coupons they sent, there is a coupon for a free sub, no purchase needed, and I think that is why they were busy today, lots of people using those coupons.
The roast beef is not bad, but at that price, just crazy high.
I will use the free coupon, and get another roast beef, just to make it 3 subs that I get for the 17.00, which is a fair price for 3 cold subs, but after that, I won't be back.
Really terrible that they charge this much. They are next to a coffee shop, that is also a huge rip off, so they picked the right spot. Maybe someone willing to pay 15.00 for a coffee will pay 17.00 for a sub. That is the only thing I can think, but here, this is not a rich area. They would have done better finding a more upscale location in another town.
Just to update I never went back for the free sub
Later that night I got really sick after eating half the sub
It was a terrible experience all...
Read moreThis was my first time coming here. It was initially slow when I came in and started to pick up when it came time to order. I asked the woman slicing the meat for a ham BLT, and she looked at me like a deer in headlights. She then asked if I wanted ham with bacon added, and I said that's fine. I didn't realize they put the meat on the bread right away and noticed she put cheese on my sandwich, something I didn't ask for. I told the next woman I didn't want cheese, so she told the woman who sliced the meat. That woman proceeded to have an attitude because I 'never said I wanted cheese' (which is mumbled), although I was never asked if I wanted it, and I never said I wanted cheese either. Everyone else seemed nice there on out, but her reaction was presumptuous and uncalled for. When I was checking out, I was waiting for a hot sandwich and they had the bag close to their side of the counter so I wasn't sure if they wanted me to grab the bag right then and there, or wait for the rest of the food, although at this point there was a line of people behind me. It was such a weird experience, so I don't think...
Read moreI arrived at the store yesterday, June 16 around 8:30 to pick up a Door Dash order and when I entered the store I was ignored by the two staff (one male and one female) when I walked in. No greeting, no “how can I help you?”, no “I’ll be with you in just a second”... just silence, which was a little awkward for me as I stood there at the counter in front of the female for at least 2 minutes as she aggressively packaged up an order and ignored me. Once she finished packing the order, she finally asked if I was picking up for Door Dash, and when I answered she set the order on the counter and said “have a good night”. No confirmation of the name on the order or anything.
I’ve worked in the restaurant business for many years, so I understand we all have our bad days especially these days with Covid and staff shortages. But I do think greeting a customer as they walk through the door or ask how they can help is the LEAST that can be done. Very disappointed in the...
