Let me start by saying I am one of "those" Chick-fil-A lovers. I have got to have been to two dozen or so Chick-fil-A's across the U.S. I know and love Chik-fil-A. I feel inclined to review this Chick-fil-A because it's not quite up to the standards of other franchises in the Richmond area.
The food was comparable to other Chick-fil-A's, although the fries were very crispy. I had to laugh when I ordered a large meal, and instead of receiving a large container of delicious waffle fries, I got two medium containers of fries. More bang for your buck, if you will.
The service was sub-par. I'm used to super-friendly Chick-fil-A team members being a joy to interact with. The folks here were kinda grouchy and some looked half asleep. At least they did honor the customary "my pleasure" response to "thank you."
My biggest complaint about the restaurant is that they don't accept mobile pay or orders. You can't scan your phone--meaning you can't earn points or redeem treats. That's one of my favorite things about Chick-fil-A now--the Chick-fil-A One loyalty program. Not accepted here.
Overall, if you're desperate for a Chick-fil-A fix, this place will do the job. Just don't expect to be "wowed" like most every other...

My food cold. Probably because it was held hostage long past being "READY" on the text alert and order number display. This delay was intentional so that a manager could bring it out the side door, continue to hold it and not hand over the food I paid for, and waste my time complaining about the way I asked for no ice.
I've had that request ignored at this location multiple times before, I don't think making the message longer was unwarranted. However, I do find the manager's actions unprofessional and believe she is setting a bad example for other employees. Overall, I've had good experiences with other Chick-fil-A locations. I hope she's dealt with appropriately.
There was no straw, no sticker / label with receipt, the drink was sweet when I had ordered unsweet. It seems asking for no ice means it's the only part of your order that will be honored. As mentioned at top, whole meal was cold. Which come to think of it, isn't even food safe. How long was it on a counter rather than under...
Read moreThey have options for the VCU Swipe Exchange that most freshman are required to be on; however, the swipes are only available on Saturdays. You can expect a very long line on Saturday morning and afternoon, since many people will want to take advantage of their once-a-week opportunity to eat some Chick-fil-A for swipes. They are open to take other forms of payment during the week with decent hours. The food is comparable to any other Chick-fil-A, but slightly worse than expected. This is likely because this is another location managed by Aramark, which has a bit of a reputation for being careless with food quality. I'd say it's worth it though. The customer service is better than most dining locations on the meal plan, but still worse than a standard Chick-fil-A. Aramark seems to place many part-time student workers at this location, which unsurprisingly results in some pretty dull interactions. All and all, this is one of the better places on the dining plan by a long shot. It has it's flaws, but in comparison to the rest of the meal plan, it...
