I really wanted to love this place as it's in a location that can help to uplift Broad Street. My husband and I ordered one of their specialty drinks, the pandan matcha latte. NOWHERE on their list of specialties does it indicate this drink is ICED. When the barista called my name, and I saw it was iced, I replied, "Oh, I didn't ask for ice." She replied "All our specialties are iced." She was not friendly about it or in any way kind. Ir was a nice drink but for over $16 (including tip!!), we had two lattes that were very small. Coalescence opened in Jackson Ward a few weeks ago and it has since become my go-to place for just about everything--coffee, study, researching, writing, and connecting. All of my LGBTQ+ friends all feel completely at home here and many have made it their home base too. The service is excellent, the drinks are delicious, and the staff is delightful. They're here, according to their site, to make a warm and totally inclusive space for fostering community and creativity--and they do that very well. Their specialty drinks are very bold and very delicious....

LOVE this coffee spot! The inside is bright, open and clean so it is a great spot for working remotely. There is an entire kid's space upstairs which is so sweet. The coffee is delicious and beautiful! I always love when a coffee shop offers their own house-made syrups, and these did not disappoint! My iced latte was awesome. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was really uplifting and warm....
