Honey Whyte's All American Cafe — Restaurant in Richmond

So.... my buddy ordered the double "heart attack" burger and says it was too plain. It was a large chunk of ground beef that he gave half of away to a nice street vagrant. I had a "Rodeo" burger that was yummy. We had bar nachos and we annihilated them. Service was very nice, but they were busy at the bar and apparently could barely handle any table service. It was overall a good fast bar food experience. This "dive" is a couple blocks away from my apartment and is very consistent with the food quality. It has always been delicious. Try tater tots or onion rings as a fries substitute. Im a little critical with my reviews having managed restaurants, bars and clubs for decades. This is a safe bet establishment for good bar food that won't break the bank. We got two burgers, 1 being the special double "heart attack", a large plate of onion rings and Nachos. Don't forget the diet coke for $52, $65 with gratuity. I see wasted opportunity here though for the bartender to make more money(and the restaurant) they need to be a little more attentive to table service. The bar here is not a large bar and when the bartender just hides behind the bar and doesn't engage with everyone sales are being lost and that is directly reflected in their tips. ok. well. i will NOT be returning. customer satisfaction is NOT a priority here at Honey Whyte's. my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try and we came home and instantly regretted it. this "spicy buffalo chicken sandwich" did NOT come with ANY buffalo sauce and also came with chicken tenders instead of a chicken patty! the chicken is also pretty dry. i wanted to try out the "spicy fried pickles" yeah, not even spicy, at all. soggy, the batter does not even compliment the pickle in ANY type of way. we called the restaurant once we discovered that our food was just not good enough to eat and their solution was to make a 25 min drive back to the restaurant just to get a what? 2 oz cup of buffalo sauce?? no thank u. i am very disappointed because not only did we just wasted food, money, AND time but because i own a restaurant and customer satisfaction is ALWAYS my goal. unfortunately, i forget others just cannot compare. once again, i will not be recommending to anyone, will not be returning. hopefully, a better restaurant/ bar will take its place...

Found this place one night looking for a bar with good and affordable drink selection. What I found was, Trish, Bobbie, Charlie, Mike, Peter, and the best Burgers in Town!!!

From the moment I was seated Bobbie was on top of everything. She is so much fun and always makes you feel comfortable. My second visit I met Robin what an amazing server she is. This place is a modern day Cheers. I have been back 3x and the burgers are fresh!!! And delicious. I would like to see an actual cocktail menu and consistency in the pours but my overall experience has brought me to bring new friends every month to find out how awesome this spot is. A mixed crowd and warm atmosphere sets this place apart from the rest. This will be my go to spot for some time to come. The truly do know your name here! Good clean fun, no obscenities or rude words you will hear in this place which says a lot for a bar. The restaurant is clean. The bathrooms are clean. The food and tables are clean as well.
