This was one of the worst eating out experiences I’ve ever had.
The staff was extremely hostile and unwelcoming while the food was overpriced and tasteless.
This was my first time in Sonic drive-in chains so I tried to advise with the waiter/cashier who was taking my order. Accepting his recommendation I ordered #5 meal combo from the menu. Let alone that the already made old burger was priced at $8,5 as a separate item, and the combo was bumping this number to a whooping $12, the final price I was charged somehow came to add up to an unthinkable & unbelievable $17. I believe in other circumstances I would have considered twice before spending $17 in a fast food chain for a breakfast meal, however, the staff hostility seemed almost intentionally designed and put in place to intimidate the customers and pressure them into placing an order as fast and rushed as possible.
In an attempt to ignore this unpleasant situation and make the best of the rest of my meal experiences I sat by the window and started working on my meal. Shortly, I realized that I forgot to inquire the password for the Wi-Fi, and, upon checking, confirmed that all of the available Wi-Fi-s (of which 3 involved the name of the chain — “sonic”) were password-protected.
Long story short, the waiter not only claimed to not know the Wi-Fi password, but also came forward when I was tried to address any other person working there who could potentially help me with my seemingly simple request. This waiter rushed to answer for the rest of the team claiming as if nobody else present knows the password to the Wi-Fi either. I asked whether there was no possible way to find out. The answer was cut and dry “no.” I’ll politely thanked him and went back to my seat.
Before leaving I tried to use the restroom; unsurprisingly, the restrooms had hostile signs abt there not being any public restrooms available nothing that the restrooms are for customers who have already placed their orders. I approached the guy one last time asking him if he wouldn’t mind unlocking the restroom door so I could use it. He unwillingly came and unlocked the restroom...
Read moreI just left this place and it was such a bad experience as well as horrible customer service. I went in with my husband and kids and the cashier (Emma) took our order. I had said hi to her and she didn’t respond, she looked very very annoyed that we were their. I immediately wanted to leave because I could already feel her negative attitude as well as the place was completely empty but we stayed because the kids were really hungry. We spent $40 and let me tell you, it was money in the trash, the fries were sooo cold and so was the burger which by the way tasted like bad cafeteria food, it’s almost as though they prepare it and just have it sitting their for whenever someone comes, to make up for the bad taste of food we asked asked her for extra sauce which she said it was extra charge which fine ok we get it (I was not upset over that) as we were eating we over heard Emma’s (cashier) whole conversation in Spanish (she was loud) as to why she was tired and everything she had to do the day before. I was very upset at the quality of my food that I just ended up throwing it in the trash, towards the end I went up and asked her for her name since I knew I was going to write a review on her customer service and the food quality and with an attitude she said “I don’t have to give you my name”. I have never wrote a review on a place of food service but this had to be done. Read moreI ordered a pick up order on line...recd a notice that the order was ready...got there Noone was aware of my order. The brunette behind the counter shrugged it off and said "it happpens alot" There were THREE ppl supposedly working the registers yet Noone wanted to ring up or greet customers. THREE ppl working the registers but TWO always standing in the background. Even though it seemed to be quite busy NOone had a sense of urgency...they watched customers pile in and never asked for the next customer to advance and place their order. The cashier on the middle register that was not actively listening. She didn't get a customer's order right and she seemed bothered when the customer brought back the order and politely asked for what she actually ordered. No apology.. no true acknowledgement... passive aggressive. I have never been to a sonic with this type of draining atmosphere. Now I see why their rating on the app I used was so low.
