Taco Bell — Restaurant in Richmond

Overpriced, $1.80 for either a soft or crunchy taco. And these aren't the tacos you may remember from when you were a kid. No, these are the most pathetic looking tacos I've ever seen. Barely any meat, and 1/4 or so of what they consider the meat portion is all the nasty gunk and juice they scrape from the bottom of whatever it's stored or cooked in. I cannot stress how disgusting and pathetic both the crunchy and soft tacos looked. I wish I'd taken a picture before I ate my food, but I was hungry and I never planned on leaving a review because I wasn't expecting much considering my last visit here 2 years ago. The reason I decided to leave a review is because I am almost certain their food is the reason my stomach has been hurting the last 2 days. It's not food poisoning as I have had that before and I could barely keep down a glass of water during the worst of it. But something has been giving me issues and taco bell is the only food I've consumed this week that I don't regularly eat. So if you want to pay for an overpriced meal, tiny portion sizes, and probably the most unappetizing "meat" I think I've ever seen, this taco bell can be your new best friend. I've had taco bell from other locations about 3 or 4 times in the last 2 years without any issues concerning food quality. However this location has been absolutely terrible both times...

Don't expect to walk up to the counter and order your meal... no, no, no, here you walk up to one of two kiosks and place your order and pray to God they know you ordered and paid. I honestly think you're better off just going through the drive thru. I walked in and stood at the counter waiting for someone to take my order, ten minutes later a worker walks out and tells me to order off the kiosk. I did and got my meal in a decent amount of time ( since there was noone else there). Shortly after I sat down people started walking in and also waiting for someone to take their order, several minutes later they were told to order through the kiosk . They ordered and stood there 25 mins only for the kitchen person to come out and ask everyone what they ordered and if they had paid already. This was ridiculous! Come on! Taco Bell have you become so out of touch that customer service is not important to you? This was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen at a "restaurant " I hope they "offer " the kiosk but bring back the counter person for some personal customer service. Next time I'll drive thru.... Maybe that's what they want so they don't have to deal with...

I always get excellent service at this location. In fact, I have gone further out of my way to prefer this location to others. However, the construction that's taking place in the area by the hospital makes all the businesses in that area inconvenient to access. It's not within the control of the business, but the construction bottleneck changes frequently, and one often can't be certain of how navigable the access road is if approaching from the north west. When visiting businesses by the hospital, beware of changing access directions with no advance notice. What was once two-way can suddenly become one-way. I had to reverse back out of one of those, and it was both perilous and embarrassing because I don't frequent the area on the east side, and it had changed to a one-way. I had to back up while navigating opposing traffic. It turns out there was a sign, but I was operating from familiarity and the natural lay of the road and entrances, and I missed it. I'm not going back over there until the construction...
