Relatively fast service, for a Whataburger, and the people working the drive through are always courteous and kind, even @ 4 a.m., a time when many other 24 hour drive through fast food joint employees will give you plenty of attitude, but no napkins.
EDIT: 6/1/2016 Food from this location on 5/30/2016 around 10 p.m. gave both my Father and Brother a horrible, painful, case of food poisoning. My Mother ate only half of her sandwich, and was ill as well, but to a much lesser extent. I did not eat with them that night, thankfully. From 5 stars, down to 1, just like that.
EDIT::::: 3/14/2017:::: Back from 1 star to 4. I've eaten here several times since the horrible night in May of 2016 when less than safe food, likely caused by negligent food handing practices gave 3 of my family members food poisoning. My family members who live quite close to this location, started to eat here again a few months ago and haven't had any issues. The food is always good and the service is always at par or better for any Whataburger. My reason for only going back to 4 stars, is because twice now, late at night, after midnight, I've ordered a sandwich by the item/combo number, plainly stating "sandwich only". The overnight drivethrough order taker attempts to push, (or what even could be referred to as "slamming" in Baby Bell landline telephone intrastate long distance service provider parlance), the combo on me. He says "What drink?", I nearly repeat my whole order, plainly saying, again, "sandwich only". He pauses a few seconds, then "...What kind of drink?" To this I time I said, a bit more angrily, I don't want a drink, just the sandwich. He did a quick Huff-puff, apparently mad because I wasn't drunk and/or high like everyone else who hits this place very...
Read moreOrdered two number 24s for breakfast one was sweet tea one with coffee. The young Man working the drive-thru acted as if I was bothering him by wanting to place an order. Abrupt and unfriendly. Received our food and drinks and got back on the road. No cream or sugar for the coffee. Typically, in my experience, if they don't ask you at the window they will just assume that you need it and put it in the bag. Neither of these happened. At a pure curiosity I called the store and asked to speak to the manager just so that I would know for next time. Sonia, the manager answered the phone and when I asked for the manager she seemed irritated and then when I asked her name she became even more rude. I asked her if I should get in the habit of requesting it at the window or should they have just put it in the bag. She said that typically the customer needs to request it. I then asked her what the standard operating procedures were And she said I should have asked for it. I then tried to confirm with her that their standard operating procedure was for the guest to request it and that if I called corporate that's what corporate would tell me and then she changed her story. The rude young man at the window should have asked. After my conversation with Sonya, it's clear why the rest of her team has no customer service skills. I know it seems small or minor but it is so frustrating that customer service and customer care seems to get worse by the day. Seems to be that not only Sonia but her team as well needs to be brushed up on what whataburgers...
Read moreI’m having a hard time finding the point in ordering through the app anymore apart from getting points. It was supposed to be a “order ahead” so your food is ready but I always find myself waiting even longer than if I had just ordered there. I started showing up later than the “4-7 minutes” that it would say for pick up. Ordered this morning and said ready 10:30-10:33 and showed up at 10:48 then another car showed up a couple minutes after. They bring out that cars food first even though mine should have been ready 15 minutes ago and I was there first at the curbside. Waiting another 5 minutes for the lady to finally bring mine and I let her know I was missing 1 drink and pointed it out on the receipt after she tried to tell me I wasn’t. She goes back in and brings me a drink that I notice I can’t even see the liquid through the top and I open to find it’s barely filled half way. I walk in and see a manager and ask about it and he just tells me I can fill it more. Then proceeds to ask someone who filled it pretending like he’s trying to do something about it. Dumped it out in case she did something to it since she was petty enough to do this to begin with and just refilled myself. Fries were also cold. This place has gone down hill significantly in terms of service and they don’t seem to care as every time we go (usually once a week) there’s always something wrong with the order or a long wait for no reason. Going to have to start driving all the way down to the location...
