I find it absolutely atrocious and also quite embarrassing that whoever cooked our dish decided to go and serve expired goods and think that this is "the shawarma that created it all". How can you feel proud and willing to give your stamp of approval as well as pride yourself in promoting your use of fresh ingredients, yet decide it's ok to serve such horrible food? My bestie got a BOGO deal, and could barely make it a few bites in the first dish, and still tried to give you all the benefit of the doubt. Yes, of course if you were to taste slight sourness and acidity in the dish the first thought would be to point fingers at the sauce. However, how could you blame the sauce that never touched or reached the mere vicinity of the shriveled depressing greens in the dish? We would like to think that we've been loyal customers to the franchise for awhile, but the experience and the quality continues to deteriorate and shows no sign of any improvement. Why continue supporting an establishment that decides to repeatedly disrespect their customer base with poor quality and an increasing variety of rookie mistakes with each order? If the first dish came out with such perturbing quality, what makes you think the second dish will be any better, let alone guarantee the freshness of the other ingredients in your dishes? This incident was very much the straw that broke the camel's back, and I hate to say it but there is so much more that could be attested to beyond this current dreadful experience. This is embarrassing and rather infuriating. If she catches anything from the nasty rotten food that you all decided was okay to serve, you best believe the review won't...
Read moreI’ve always liked Abu Omar and have had great experiences at their Hwy 6 location, so I was excited to order again — this time from their other food truck. I ordered the Italian shawarma for $20, but honestly, I was disappointed.
The portion was much smaller than what I’ve had before. It barely had any meat or cheese — mostly just bread. It felt empty, and for the price, I expected something much more filling. I did notice they spent a lot on fancy packaging and custom containers, but to me, what matters most is the food inside, not the box it comes in.
For $20, I was hoping for the same quality and portion I’ve come to expect from their other locations. I hope they consider focusing more on the actual serving size and...
Read moreI drive by Abu Omar’s all the time and finally decided to give it a try I’m so glad I did. With so many shawarma spots in the area, I honestly wasn’t expecting much beyond the usual flavor you can find at other nearby restaurants and food trucks. But I was completely wrong. Abu Omar’s shawarma was packed with flavor and had a unique taste that really set it apart.
My wife and I took one bite and immediately looked at each other, surprised by how good it was. Great food, great service what more can you ask for? If you’re on the fence about trying it, 100% go for it. And if you’re like me and underestimate it, you’ll be...
