LET ME START BY SAYING I USED TO BE A HUGE FAN OF THIS OPERATION AND MY CHILDREN AND I USED TO LOVE TO COME HERE AND ORDER IN. I HAVE SEEN THE STEADY DECLINE OF THIS PARTICULAR UNIT IN THE COMPANY OVER THE PAST 2-3 YEARS. THEY HAVE BECOME SO BUSY THAT THEIR LITTLE SHOP SIMPLY CAN NOT PUT OUT A QUALITY PRODUCT. THERE ARE MANY PLACES IN RIDGEFIELD TO GET A GOOD PIE AND ITALIAN FOOD IN GENERAL- VILLAGE PIZZA, VENICE, PICCIOLO ETC. IF YOU WANT TO PAY TOP DOLLAR OR MARKET PRICE, AND GET EXTREMELY SLOPPY PRODUCTS, ORDER IN FROM PLANET PIZZA. THE DOUGH IS THICK AND TASTELESS, THE TOPPINGS THROWN ON SLOPPY FROM THE OVER WORKED TEENAGERS THAT ARE IN AN EVER MADDENING CRUSH TO SEND THESE TASTELESS SPHERES TO THEIR RECIPIENTS. EVEN THE "SALADS" AND PASTA DISHES ARE THROWN TOGETHER WITH SUCH LITTLE THOUGHT TO QUALITY AND APPEARANCE THAT YOU KIND OF WONDER IF THE COMPANY HASN'T BEEN TAKEN OVER BY HARRY M STEVENS FAMOUS FOR BALLPARK GARBAGE. IF YOU HAVE NO STANDARDS WHATSOEVER, I URGE YOU TO ORDER FROM THIS SLAP DASH OPERATION TO RECEIVE PRODUCTS THAT EVEN MY 12 YEAR OLD CHILD DOESN'T FINISH...ALL MY KIDS HAVE ASKED ME TO STOP ORDERING FROM HERE AND THIS COMING FROM CHILDREN SPEAKS VOLUMES TO THE LACK OF QUALITY INGREDIENTS AND PRESENTATION. AVOID AND LOOK FURTHER IN YOUR SEARCH...

Be careful of the door at this restaurant. It shuts extremely fast and hard. I tried to enter and the door abruptly shut on my heel. Man oh man, I saw stars! I immediately sat down on the bench outside the restaurant to see the damage on my foot. A concerned citizen saw this happen and ran over. She was lovely and offered me bandaids etc. after awhile I entered and told the order taker what happened...he could have cared less! I actually ordered something and sat down and nursed my throbbing foot. When the waiter approached I asked to speak to the manager. The manager promptly appeared and I told him I’m concerned a child could get hurt and someone wearing sandals would have incurred a lot more damage ( I was wearing shoes and socks). He also didn’t care and did not even check the door. I sure trust someone at Planet Pizza reads this and has the door professionally repaired. Today half my foot is totally black and blue and I have no skin on my the bone above the heel. If the management had shown any concern I wouldn’t be complaining, but no concern or care was offered. Planet pizza is one of the most popular pizza places in town, especially for the younger crowd as its dead center Main Street. This can make them overcrowded at times if you're dining in, but if you're getting it to go or delivery then they're on par for the local area pizza.

Their customer service is friendly and helpful, though sometimes with how busy they get they can miss a thing or two, but they're always quick to correct it.
