Laguna Burger — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

Got there a little before 1100, the sign on the door did advise they open at 1100 so I did not expect to order for a few minutes. Looked around the convenience store and was impressed. Then at 1100 went to the counter to order. The three employees at the counter just stood there talking to each other. They looked at me and my wife but made zero effort to help us. I said out loud, I was hungry and ready to order. Still just looked at me (standing away from the counter) making no effort to help us. Frankly the front counter is confusing. So we stood near the only place that did not have a counter seat, we stood near the register.

After a few minutes of this we walked out to thebparkkng lot and started to get in the vehicle to leave. A middle age female followed us out and in what can only be described as a whisper, asked us what was wrong, I told her and she said “the red head always does that”. I said well I won’t go back in today, I might try again another day.

We drove across town and had a nice lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, receiving great service.

We love the food at Laguna burger, generally drive out to Route 66 have also tried the one in 12th street where service was great. Today we thought we would try the one near our house.

I just went intoday on 9-10-25. My wife and i had gone in to grab a usually good meal like on 12th st. We ordered our burgers to eat there and no one was in front of us. My wife had just had eye surgery and hadnt eaten since the night before anyway our number was in plain view and the young man who looks like he had just started his shift brought an order out yo to guys that hadnt ordered maybe 5 minutes earlier. So we waited and waited . My wife told the young man, i bet you gave our order to the wrong table, he admitted that he had. No apology or anything. It took 36 minutes for us to get our order. The food is great which was a plus but the server Brianna never told the young man anything about the screw-up. One thing was odd the young man was standing in front of the pickup counter eating fries and having a milk shake. He sure didnt seem to worry about the customers, other than feeding his face. Very poor customer training kind of poor attitude. Is anyone properly trained in customer service or how to conduct yourself...

Now open, I made it in to see what the hype was. The burger is good the fries are blonde (request them to be extra crisp) also good. I love that they do not use salt the salt is on the table if you need it! We got 2 laguna burgers 1 with fries and 1 with onion petals. The lady said she could do it then charged us an extra 1.00 which is fine as long as she would have said so but did not so surprise! Parking was FULL as they double as a gas station and convience store.They were super busy and the have 2 electric car chargers that take up 2 spaces for parking that was inconvenient for people who want to eat have to drive around back to park. The line to order was LONG we got in just about 1130am so it was just before it was to busy not much of a wait that was good. It was my 1st time eating laguna style, it was Over rated for the same price go to sonic next door or Applebee's and sit down in a nice atmosphere. We won't be back. Not what I ...
