Food honestly overall is mediocre as I have high standards set when it comes to Vietnamese food since I am Vietnamese myself — but I will say and give credit that one dish I do truly enjoy that they have is their udon, the broth is great and there’s no other like it in Albuquerque or Rio Rancho but it all goes down hill from that because of their service. Called today on a Sunday morning at 10:20 to order two seafood udon soup, the girl with the bangs who normally waits there answered the phone and took my order and said give us about 30 minutes as the broth is not ready yet. I said sure, that’s no problem. I arrived and walked in at around 10:50 she said it still wasn’t ready, I responded with ok, how much longer? She said I don’t know because we’re still cooking the broth. Perfect, I walk back to my car to wait some more as I really enjoy this dish they serve and drove up here so I didn’t mind. I called them again from my car at 11:17 and she said it’s going to take another 15-20 minutes. LOL. Your hours open at 10:00, you have no other customers in the restaurant, shouldn’t you have food, broth, etc READY for the day? I understand things come up and if they were BUSY, I would be so much more understanding, but they WERE NOT BUSY and did not communicate w me, I’ve been waiting now for an hour and you still want to keep me waiting in my car for another what you think will be 15 minutes with no apology — thats perfect! Not to mention anytime I come here and the same girl who helps me always has an attitude or a problem with me and today I couldn’t stand it anymore, but when it’s the boy waiting on tables or taking orders he’s perfect! So make sure you guys get him cause the girl can care less about the customers that come through here. I hope the owner sees this better train their staff or have a better schedule on when to prepare food, or change your hours of operations so that food is prepped and ready for you to serve at your stated...
Read moreWaitress was rude:Threw the menu’s down on the table and seemed very put out. After bringing our food we didn’t see her till we had to pay. Worst part was she followed us OUTSIDE and asked why we didn’t tip her. I can tell you a tip is something the customer gives willingly NOT something that’s expected. I won’t be going back to your over priced, poor service restaurant.
Pho garden owner: Not sure who in the restaurant responded to my review but your wrong! She asked WHY WE DIDN’T TIP HER. Tips ARE NOT MANDATORY. Last time I went out I didn’t have someone running after me asking me why I didn’t tip them. A poor response to a review. Take responsibility of your poor service. If you take pride in your service that also means taking responsibility for your reviews. Sorry but tips aren’t supposed to forced upon customers. Poor management and poor way of dealing with a complaint. Blaming your customer for things you clearly can fix if you wanted to.
Now I ask you this, does she run out to ask everyone how...
Read moreHorrible experience, we were never given an option for drinks, super small and crowded, not to mention our waitress forgot all of condiments as well as silverware up until the point of us almost having to eat our pho with our fingers... It was uncomfortable walking down the hallway to the bathroom and having everyone sitting in small tables all the way down the hallway ending at almost the mens restroom door. For the hype that it was given it surely did not live up to it. Broth was bland and the egg rolls were pretty gross... took one bite and I could swear it was filled with potted meat and some sort of weird potato... Will not be back, and will not be recommending this place to anyone. Side note, there was what looked like pet hair in the menus.. I'll stick...
