Whole Earth Market Co-op — Local services in River Falls

I'm posting because I surprised the 5th person in a row by telling them that the delicious coffee I brought for a meeting was from our local co-op... I bring coffee to early meetings and even bring folks to the co-op for informal one-to-one meetings because the coffee is excellent (+ cute outdoor tables and a 4-place indoor window bar for good people watching on Main Street). One colleague recently mentioned the coffee as a reason she became a co-op member (you don't need to be a member to buy stuff here, btw, but I personally think this is the best coffee in River Falls and as good a reason as any to support the local co-op!). I also do almost all of my shopping here because the selection is well-curated and the local produce is so fresh and delicious! People judge this place. I know people who refuse to go here. You gotta be better than them dear reader. Best place in town to buy food if you’re okay with abandoning most conventional brands. I feel like one big misconception about co-ops is that they sell health food. No. Here you will find food just as tasty as anywhere else, just better produced, often local, and often more unique. The only thing the food here is missing is artificial flavors and colors. It’s literally better!! The candy I don’t like though, with the exception of some chocolates and their licorice a lot of it seems overpriced and quite average. I guess you can’t improve on conventional candy. Love this store! I'm new to shopping this store, & have been in twice in the past couple of weeks. Not sure why I've never discovered this gem, after all it is right in plain sight down town River Falls! Staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great selection of vegan offerings for a small shop. I was able to find much of my staple kitchen items here for very reasonable if not cheaper than I'm used to, saving me money and the drive to Woodbury. LOVE this place and GRATEFUL to have such a wonderful commodity in my local community! Will definitely be joining this...
