China Wang — Restaurant in Riverdale

I recently ordered takeout from a local restaurant through DoorDash, opting for pick-up. My meal included sweet-and-sour chicken with vegetable fried rice and two steak and cheese eggrolls.

Starting with the sweet-and-sour chicken, it was quite satisfying and met my expectations for this classic dish. The chicken was flavorful and had a nice balance of sweetness and tanginess. Unfortunately, the vegetable fried rice was less impressive. The texture was mushy, and the taste was mediocre at best. It seemed like it had been overcooked or perhaps left out too long, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal.

The steak and cheese eggrolls, however, were a pleasant surprise. They were well-prepared, with a good balance of flavors and a crispy exterior that added a nice contrast to the savory filling. These were definitely a highlight of my order.

When I went inside to pick up my food, I noticed that the restaurant had an older, somewhat worn appearance. One concerning observation was that the cook was not wearing gloves while preparing the food, which raised some hygiene concerns for me.

On a positive note, the food was reasonably priced, and the portions were generous, especially the rice. Despite the mixed experience with the food quality and the cleanliness concerns, the pricing and portion sizes...

RUN RUN RUN!!! I had never been here before. I ordered the general tso's chicken and fried rice. Plastic chicken breading was so hard I could barely chew it.😩 I tasted no chicken!! I almost cracked my damn tooth! I took 4 bites and threw the whole box away and YES in lady's face!!! I looked down and realized all the rugs on the floor was dirty. Please never go to China Wang!! They can't cook a dang thang. The absolute WORST Chinese food I've ever eaten. When food was ready, Chinese woman said hey lady, lady yo food ready. Lord have mercy!!🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Thank God I didn't get sick or grow a extra ear. I'm telling you NOW, DO NOT EAT HERE!! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN ASAP!! This place needs an inspection...

The staff is friendly here but the food is not good. People are lying about this place.. I wish I could have got refunded last week but the store won't do refunds.. Rice is not fried correctly and egg rolls are too crispy.. Rice don't taste right. I am not joking..Wings are not that good.. Small wings too..Nasty food and reviews are no lies.. The guys in back cannot cook and I wasted money twice at this place.. I won't order here ever again. Best chinese foof is by Waffle House on Riverdale Road.. China Cafe 7.. Take 20 minutes to get food but the food is worth your money. I have eaten there...
