The absolute worst service I have ever experienced. I would give zero stars if I could. I am going to start off by saying not only will I NEVER go back to this denny's. I will never go back to ANY denny's again. I sat and waited for my daughters side after we were already served out food for 20 min. In that time we needed refills and I sat and waited to be checked on by my server. Finally i was fed up after another 10 minutes of waiting. I got up and went to find my server.
When I found her she was doing her prep work so that she can go home. I told her I have been waiting 30 min for her to come back to my table. Then I was cut off by another server which told me she was off the clock and now he was my server. Apparently I was supposed to be a mind reader and know when they switch servers because no one ever came to my table to tell me anything.
When I asked to speak to a manager the Male server told me she was on break and I would have to wait another 30 minutes to speak with her. I was in shock, I told him there is no one else in this restaurant I can talk to that is in charge, he said no one else is here. No assistant no one put in charge...We went around and around with him saying he can't help me and no one else could either. He was very snarky and thought he could shut me down and I would leave without consulting someone In charge. He was more Interested in showing off his lame new tattoo on his arm that doing his job.
Anyways, Now I know for a fact this is not how Denny's runs things, but this is the second consecutive time that I have had horrible service at denny's. ...another server from a different table had to go tell the manager that a customer needed assistance because that lame tattoo server wouldn't help me at all. He just kept telling me no shes on break for 30 min no one can talk to you. But then.... She finally came over and I think that poor lady was beside herself and that restaurant was running her cause all she did was apologize and try to make me feel bad for how horrible her employees were. Which I did kinda feel bad but if you dont have a strong management you won't have a strong team. I told her I will never be back here and she seriously needs to send her employees to customer service training. So beware when chosing where you want to spend your hard earned money because that was the last cent they will ever...
Read moreI will start by saying that the food was not nasty, our service/server was not bad and the atmosphere was great! What I am stumped on and is the cause of my low star rating is the fact that I was not served the Tbone steak I ordered. Also, my server in the attempt to find the Tbone pointed her nasty finger too close to my food. I slid my plate away from her, she said, " oh I wasn't going to touch it. " My response was, "I want to make sure you don't." Her index finger was literally an inch away from my food! The manager offered to make another one but at that point my father and I had already decided we were leaving. It would have been nice if the manager could have thought of other ways to compensate us(compensation was not the goal). She told me that this particular Tbone steak wasn't rare and there are different cuts. I am not a connoisseur of steaks but I know enough to know that there should be a "T" shaped bone in the meat. My first impression was that it was a pork steak instead of beef steak. The patron across from me ordered the same thing and his cut was perfect, it's mainly why I chose to order the meal I bought. I took a picture of what it was supposed to look like after confirming with the general manager that I indeed ordered the Tbone steak breakfast meal(came with eggs, toast, and hash browns). I also ordered my steak medium rare but it was over cooked. Needless to say I was NOT pleased!!! My steak was covered with onions and mushrooms, however I did NOT spot the Tbone, neither did the general manager nor two other employees. The cut of meat on my plate seemed like it was butterflied or as I stated before, it resembled pork steak. What...
Read moreMy son and I share the same birthday and we went for our free Grand Slams. When we got to the restaurant, no one greeted us. The night time security guy told us they'd come soon... 9 minutes later, the manager "Gomez" came and told us it would be about 7 minutes. When Gomez came to seat us, he just took off, not asking where I could go. I have a badly broken leg with a huge brace and use a walker. Gomez took us all the way to the back of the restaurant, I tried to call him, but he didn't hear me. The service in the back was lousy, the girl we had only had our table in the back, so we didn't get drink refills and she didn't come check on our food until 17 minutes after we'd been served. We needed silverware, so my son went to the front of the restaurant to get some. The food was not hot, in fact, our eggs were cold and the blueberries in my pancakes were dried out/hard. I would have given 2 stars because the food was free, except for the $1.09 for blueberries in my pancakes but I'm very upset about having to walk all the way to the back. I'm very disappointed. Very angry that a disabled person had to walk all the way to the back, with no regard, no question about whether we prefer a table closer to the front. (There were 5 empty tables on the way to the back, they were 2 seaters but that would have been fine.) Honestly, we tried to make the best of it, but the whole experience was...
